I will be going to BKK for 2 days and would like to visit King's Castle 3 to try a LB for one night. Problem is that I have no whereabouts about clean hotels near Patpong 1. I will be arriving by bus from Pattaya.
I assume a hotel in BKK needs to be booked in advance ? Which hotels (not 5 stars) would you recommend that are close to King's Castle 3 please ?

I've occasionally used the Narai on Silom for Patpong-related LT adventures. Claims to be 4-star, but only just - you can usually get a room for under B1.8k. Adequate.
That's a big hotel - you'd have to decide how you felt about traipsing through the lobby with a katoey in tow.
There's quite a number of small boutique hotels in this area, with prices ranging from B900 up to B2k. I haven't checked any of these out as yet.
Your best bet is to latch onto one of the many BKK hotel booking sites on the web and see what strikes your fancy (the Sathorn/Silom/Surawong area is the one you want). You could either book a room online or through a travel agent in Pattaya. Ŭ

If it's still open, try the Pavilion Place on Patpong 2. It is the closest I am aware of.
Is 3M still open? Anybody know?

The Ramada is luxurious hotel... Isn't there a hotel around 30$ that's close to King's Castle 3 and which is 'guest friendly' please ?

The Pavilion Place Hotel is on Patpong 2. ŬKings Castle 3 is on Patpong 1. ŬI would estimate the Hotel is no more than 125 yards walk from KC3. ŬIt is guest friendly, in the price range you are asking and I am sure they would welcome you and your friend. ŬI have never had a reservation and would think they will have something for your evening pleasure.

I stayed at the Wall Street Inn and they have a great massage (legit) that is nice, the rooms are cheap (about 1000 baht with negotiating) and I like eating elsewhere. Just check out the rooms there. It is as close to Patpong as you are going to get.

Mr. doughtr says the Wall Street Inn "is as close to Patpong as you are going to get." Ŭ
The Wall Street is not a bad hotel, but the PAVILION PLACE HOTEL IS LOCATED DIRECTLY ON PATPONG TWO, WHICH IS FORTY METERS FROM PATPONG ONE.
Sorry, I didn't mean to shout but I am beginning to feel neglected here. Ŭ  ŬThe Pavilion Place is the closest hotel to Kings Castle 3 unless the old 3M is still open. ŬThe Pavilion Place is next to the Pink Panther and is located next to the old Chicken Divine.
This could turn into a f_cking crusade.

In my post of 30 October at 2:11 PM, I said the Pavilion Place was 125 yards from Kings Castle 3.
In my post of 30 October at 8:57 PM, I said the Pavilion Place is on Patpong 2 which is 40 meters from Patpong 1.
Meters, yards, whatever. ŬIt is close.
Yes, the schnapps is homemade and 170 proof. ŬIt is peppermint flavored and one more post on this thread will cause the schnapps to evaporate rather quickly. Ŭ
