I assume You hav e been at Admirals other times and You liked it.It is not too far from Main Sukhumvit Road?
You would spend the difference of price between Superior and Deluxe Suite?

As I have stayed at admiral suites many times, off couse it gets my vote, difference in suites is worth it if you can afford it or if you fancy doing some cooking....
The bloody Superior has the wok and tools but no bloody hob.................
Great place......... 5 mins from main Suk, but get a card if you dont speak thai as hardly any any taxis no about it which in a way is whats good about the place
As to guest friendly there have never been any problems even with a group of girls  and the maids are very descrete...........

Totally agree with UKY. Definitely pay for upgrade, makes a difference. If on taxi, tell them just after "Jade Pavilion Hotel", they should know. If you have laundry, don't use hotel's. One cheaper laundry place on small soi along the Admiral, or across the sreet on Soi 22, journal vendor also does dry cleaning.

Stayed at both over the xmas NY CNY period, Admiral suites is an old favorit of mine but was put into a room on their car park side which has a sub Soi running beside it thats very noisy. So ask for a room overlooking a the coach park on the other side if you stay there.
Novotel was like watching TV where ever you looked in the room there was an add for something, hey it's my home for the night not an F-King train station.
Had no problem bringing guest back the hotel takes their ID, but getting it back is another thing, it takes for ages and the looks you and her are given are not what you would expect. The only thing going for it for meis its right on Soi 33.
On my last visit I stayed at the Rembrandt Suites this time got a 30m Studio for B1800 on the Nanapong rate, was upgraded to a one bedroom suite for the 1st 6 days which was excellent, welcome fruit basket and water in fridge, 7/11 type store right beside the lobby, great staff one in particular chatted to my guest when she took her ID. Great pool and cafe area, Free tuk tuk to Sukhumvit Rd the place is about the same distance along as is Admiral from Sukhumvit.
2nd stay was in the 30m suite again very good, I will stay there again. Suggest you check it out on there web site http://www.rembrandtbkk.com remember to mention nanapong.com to get the lower rate which I understand is lower than aircrew rate!!!!!!!

I stayed at Admiral last October - very good, except for the noise of buses in the adjacent park. I'm about to go again, and hope they still have vacancies, but I just received email about new manager. Could guest friendliness change?

Guest friendliness will not change. Admiral Suites is run by the same company which manages many other serviced apartments in BKK, such as President Park, President Solitaire, Grand President, and others. Every serviced apartment that I have ever heard about in BKK is guest friendly. since rates are for the room and not according to the number of people (except maybe for the number of breakfast coupons you get).
