Confirmed, it's due to the World Aids Congress from the 11 to the 16 of July.....all 4/5 stars are fully booked and the few rooms still available are sold at Congress rate which is much higher than the regular rack rate.....
Also, restaurants are also overbooked.....traffic is going to be a little mess with 20k doctors joining the event at Impact Arena.....perhaps also the MP and BG are going to increase their fares during the same period???

That was the expected number. Actually 30.000 was the # attending at the previous aids conference, I belief in S. Africa. Attendence in BKK is likely to be a lot lower (?), latest estimate being 10.000... Hotels full?? They prebooked many rooms but still many not confirmed.
