I'm a bit suprised that all hotels websites I browsed in bangkok almost never mention check in/out time limit. I travelled a lot in euro and the us and all hotels I went always mention a check in-time around 12-14h and check-out time around 10h-12h, and in all the places I went it was always the suck when an early check-in or late check-out was needed. Are thai hotels more "helpfull" (well not the adequate term, but don't know how to say it in english) with that kind or service ? I'll arrive in BKK on 5th sept. at 6:05 am and leave on 17th at 00:05 am, if I can live without an early check in I would be pissed to have to check out the last day at 12:00 pm and to ruin my last day there because of all the luggages to carry ! as an alternative, do most hotels provide a "secured" luggages keeping service ? thank you for any comments/suggestions

Most hotels have what they call a 1/2 night rate or day use of your hotel room which is usually half the rate of a full night, in which case with most hotels you check-out at 6pm. Yes most hotels can keep your luggage in a secure room until you leave for the airport. Most of the hotels are check-out at 10-12 some at 3pm and others at 6pm, it's probably best to email the hotel and ask their policies. Beefa

If the hotel has a room available, they will probably let you check in before the stated check-in time. But that may a big "if" and you may not get the best room. If you don't check out until midnight, expect to pay the full rate for that night. It is not reasonable to expect the hotel to be able to clean the room and re-rent it when you check out at midnight. As mentioned by Beefa, most hotels have a bag check room.

thank you Beefa & Alan, Of course I don't expect to check-out at midnight, but something like 6pm would be ok. Anyway if they have a luggage room it's np, else I'll negociate a 1 night surcharge for both early check in the first day and late check out around 8pm as it seems to me to be a fair deal

I have a reservation for Westin in sukhumvit. I have sended the a email with the request for a early check in at 9 in the morning and asked them if they would do me the favour. 1 hour later the reply was that they will be happy to do it with no extra payment. Reservation is done by priceline. Get the room there for 500 HK$. Cheers

As said before, I always leave my lugguage at the hotel after check out to pick it up. It's a common procedure in all hotels I have stayed yet.

Regarding checking in early, most hotels will allow this but in peak season all the rooms could be occupied so you could have to wait until someone checks out.
