Asked reception about it a week ago and all they could show was artist impressions of the room that looked very good. Rates they though would start around B2000 a room, though you could buy a pack of discount coupons, I didn't go any further on that as I thought it was a busery scam maybe there a bit short of money to complete the project?

2000baht a night would miss out on my short list of hotels. What happened to the days of 1000 baht a night for a good quality 4 star hotel on sukhumvit? Its not like the hotels are operating anywhere near full capacity most of the time anyway.

The discount book is for 10 nights one coupons fro each night, with a coupon for a delux upgrade. The 10 nights is for a superior room double. The upgrade is a one use coupon with up to 7 nights. The coupons are good thru dec 2007. It is suppose to 255 rooms with pool fitness room and wireless internet and business center. Also breakfast is suppose to include thai girls menu. I don't think they are short of cash. I think they are just trying to prebook occupancy since the hotel is so much bigger than the majestic. Rooms are asuppose to be nicer than majestic.

power 24 you might be surprised on the capacity thing. Last month many suk hotels were full even crap ones like somerset and city lodge. When could you get 4 star on suk for 1,000 baht? not counting the Ambassador-peter
