Hey brothers - I've been getting a lot of first rate info from this forum in preparation for my first trip to LOS in January 05. I've decided on a hotel, and noticed the blurb on the BTF homepage that says "help keep this site free - use our online services to book your hotel" or something to that effect. So I clicked on the hotel of my choice and "Precision Premier" online booking came up. I went through the booking protocol until I noticed that they were asking for my credit card and would actually charge me the full price of the stay before I even arrive! Has anyone done this? Is it worth it because Precision gives you a much better rate than anyone else? I was also missing different room options - they offered one "Deluxe" room at a fixed price, but I didn't have a chance to navigate and see if I could book an exec suite or something higher. Your comments appreciated.

Yes...used several times...no complaints at all....certainly the best price available for the rooms I booked.

I've used the www.Res24 online hote booking from this site a few times and they require you to pay upfront as well......so far so good and good prices too.
If your plans are confirmed 100% than paying upfront for a hotel that you like is the way to go, for me at least. Some of the bros here prefer to just go straight to a hotel once they land (these are usually bros who may not have a fixed plan and prefer to take it day by day)...only risk is you don't get a room and end up hotel hunting.

Gents,
I notice Luke is calling them "Precision Premier". Am I right in thinking he means Precision Reservations, or are these different outfits.
About to book, and have always been paranoid about paying upfront via credit card and using the voucher system. I have usually paid at the hotel, but the Precision Res. rates are too good to ignore.
Any other experiences?

Don't know if they are the same, but have used Precision Recervations several times (although not since Easter) and never had a problem.
If I know the hotels email address I email them to confirm arrival and any room requests - but I don't chase a reply, just check the room on arrival

ami missing sumtin here. precision gives the best rate until you actually want to purchase then they add the 7 $ charge for govt fee or wotever. it actually more expensive than other services.

The only thing sneaky about precision is that you have to add approx 20% to the price as opposed to res24's nett prices.
