Rooms are simple (air condition, hot water, fridge, TV), beds are big but rather hard. Some rooms, especially on the 6th floor, smell smoky. Safe deposit box at the reception. Sometimes some small roaches in the bathroom.
Room rates are 600 baht per night. No breakfast included.
The staff is friendly and it is a safe place. The hotel has a guard day and night. The hotel is guest friendly, no extra fees, but the girl has to leave her ID at the reception.
All in all it is a bargain hotel. Centrally located. If you want to live in the Sukhumvit area and not spend too much on accomodation the place is o.k. Only thing is disliked is that I had a room which was smoky. But it is no problem to check the room and have a look before you decide to move in.

Update on Business Inn, Soi 11/1 Sukhumvit.
Staying here now and past 11 days.
Agree with above, average rooms, get a window room for 700b p/n. Has double and single bed, sort of 2 rooms. Still girl friendly, just leave ID at reception.
Made 1 mistake. Took a girl back through the daytime and lady at reception asked for her ID, she had no ID even though I asked her at Beer Garden. At Business Inn I said to girl, I asked you at garden if you had ID and you say yes !, she reply, "But you never asked if I had it with me, it is in my apartment". WTF goes on here.
She was not allowed into Business Inn, fair enough, hotel staff look after us. However during the previous night I had taken another girl back there, but had to double sign for her for ST. (different reception lady) and knew I did not drink alcohol and I would not go to sleep after ST.
My motto is now, Ask girls to show ID at place of pickup or ask them if they have ID in purse, then no problems.
Great location and only a short walk to Down Under Aussie Bar on soi 7/1, free BBQ 6pm-8pm as long as you buy 2 drinks. Good atmosphere with all footy codes covered. Thanks to mine host Rob, master chef of BBQ.

You're right. My bad, there's been so much buzz about GRAND Business Inn that I assumed that's the hotel in question.
I did take a look a the original Business Inn on my last trip though. They wanted 600 baht per night. The rooms were kind of small, the AC unit was ancient, the bathroom was tiny and the whole place was dingy. At a certain point when you try to save money, you end up throwing it away instead. That's the impression I got of this place.
