Greetings All,
If a girl comes to see me at the Marriottt, will the doorman deliver her to my room (to sign the papers or whatever else they need) or do I have to go to the lobby to sign her in? Being in town on business I was hoping to avoid the lobby interaction and get the room service special. Thanks in advance!

I have been to the JW many times and the girls have never needed to sign-in. Most times they do call me from the lobby and I go down to pick them up, but I don't think you will have any problems. Many other guys will be walking in at all times of the night with one or many TGs.

I'm guessing here but if you are a bit nervous about bumping into a coworker in the lobby with a cute TG in tow walk down 10-20 minutes before and work out something with the doorman. Tip him a little and I'm sure he'll make the arrangements. At night you will not be the only one arriving with a friend when you left alone. I usually walk my TG's out the next morning or in some cases the afternoon and it can be a bit intimidating to hop on an elevator with a family of four and then make that walk across the lobby to say my goodbyes.

Most of the time you can just give them your room number and as long as they act like they know where they are going you shouldn't have any problems.
I often see the same girl over a few nights and just have them meet me at the hotel. They come right up to the room and when I asked them if anyone said anything to me, they said no and that they just walked right up. This is both a good and bad thing...
I change rooms in the middle of my stay just to insure that I don't get any unexpected visitors when I don't want them.

Thanks for the insight guys!! I stayed at the Solitaire last time and, while it was a killer hotel I would HIGHLY reccommend, I decided to stay closer to ground zero this trip.
On a different note, I paid 85 per night via priceline for the Marriott. I am booked Monday through Friday. Two quick questions....
1. I get in Monday AM at 2:30 AM. Will the hotel let me in to the room at 4:00 AM ish or will they hit me for an extra nights charge?
2. How is the JW about free upgrades? I rarely stay at Marriott and have no "buying power" with the chain but wanted to see if anyone has luck.
Thanks again and looking forward to another fun trip.

That's a pretty early check in. I'm not sure how they are going to deal with that one. I'd say if you had status you might have more luck, but I don't even know that. It will probably depend on availability and the mood of the staff when you arrive.
Free upgrades? I haven't had one yet. The best I've gotten is a gift certificate for $50 for staying 10+ nights.
No status, and Mon-Fri isn't all that much to go on. I don't see that happening. But you never know, stranger things have happened. I suppose its all in the approach....

Man I would hate to work in the hotel industry. Here is a first time customer staying at a 5-star hotel that he paid peanuts for on priceline and is looking for a free night and free upgrades. Geez

Yeah, but hey, the Marriot needs the help. Some people are a bit shy about staying at Marriots, and its not the boom boom in the rooms they are worried about.

You won't have any trouble at the JW Marriott with one or more young lassies. The staff are very well trained and will carry out whatever instructions you give them concerning your lady friends.
If you want the reception desk to keep her ID that is fine. If you wish a porter to escort her up to your room, that is also very acceptable.
One thing though, is that the staff in the excutive floor lounge are not too keen on Nana lassies showing up at breakfast or cocktail hour to stuff themselves. They usually won't say anything though. If you have one of your regular TG's staying with you, that's quite different. With a plastic key they can have the run of the place.
One of the of porters tod me that the staff know many of the Nana lassies and if one has caused trouble in the the past, they will bann her from the hotel.
