I have been looking at farang.com for hotel reservations and they work with directrooms-thailand.com.
All these sites require pre-payment and send you a voucher. Does it really work with these sites?
I am going for x-mas and need to be sure I have places to stay during my tour of LOS.
So no matter how pi$$-drunk I get, I know I haven't spent the hotel money on the babes (and booze).
Or should I ask.. which sites are ONLY hustling you for money (ie just a fake) ?

I have used many online hotel booking services over the last few years without any problem, nowadays it seams you have to pay in advance and loose quite a lot if you cancel, gone are the days when you could just make a reservation.
Christmas is really busy so I would defiantly say book early, heard last year many member having problems finding a hotel for the festive season, if you are unsure if a company is reputable you could try the links at the bottom of the page, the links are for a hotel booking service called “precision reservations” which has been used by many of the member who know doubt will pop with there endorsements.

I have just made a reservation at Nana Hotel on Monday (8th of Nov) for 3 nights, I will let you know how it went !!

Quite another thing is to get a refund. I had to change my reservations via voyagenow.com I spent one night less at the Tai Pan. The refund for that one night was granted to me through e.mail. It was never effected. I contacted the management. They, too, promised to pay the refund into my bank accounted. A promise they did not keep. So, if you ask me: are they to be trusted? I don't think so!

Did you pay with a card card? if so you may be able to dispute the payment...

I did pay with a credit card. So perhaps I should try and dispute the payment. Worth a thought. I'll see, if I can find out how that works.

Partly depends on where you come from. CC companies are pretty much global concerns now but they don't treat customers the same all over the world.

Recently booked my hotels with precision reservations and had no problems at all. Seem to recall them taking a deposit onlya nd the balance a week before I arrived. Didn't have to cancel, but did have to change dates with no problems
