has anyone here used latestays.com? they require you to enter the 3 digit security code from your credit card. I need to know if they are above board and legitimate.
can anyone reccomend this site?

They are no more or less trustworthy than the million or so other e-commerce sites which require you to provide your CCV. If they rip you off, dispute the charges.

1 - Their prices are not so good (even if they are lastminute bookings).
2 - The choice is very limited
3 - Use the links on Bkktonight. In most cases cheaper and you support the board. And the board sites (r24 and precisionreservations) have good reviews.

Please note that precisionreservations slams another 20% for service/tax on top.

Latestays.com is a relaible site.
It has been created by a farang that lives in Phuket and they also have phuket.com and other sites. It is a huge company now and they do business with major hotels.
The 3 letter code on the back of your credit card is just to prove that it is your card, as you pay to them, and not to the hotel. You check in with a voucher and they on their turn pay the hotel.
It's a payment by internet and that requires the 3 figures on the back of the card.
Don't worry, you can always complain with your bank if it goes wrong.

Not all of the latestays info is verified and up to date. I booked a client into a hotel claiming International Direct Dial phones. But they shut them off for the low season...
