Can anyone offer any suggestions on good quality accomodation on Koh Samet (staying in Feb) - preffered price range starting at around 2500 baht per night (twin share).
Looking for something with good beach access and or views
Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated

Go to http://www.sawadee.com and click on destination rayong under central and east region. You will find list of Koh Samet hotels under this destination. Listings of hotels with different price range with their pictures and customer reviews/comments. You can make your selection and book online too.

My tgf and I go to Tubtim resort 900 baht a night for a bungalow bit sparse on the inside i.e only get a bed toilet cold shower only,but there are more expensive ones their to be had.Nice walks along beach plenty of bars and places to eat no clubs though it will be quite at night, make sure you take tg with you.They charge you to enter Koh Samet its a national park 200-500 baht can't remember which free for Thai person though.

If you read in "Travels with Frank" you will find that FrankieGirl traveled with me there and stayed in Sai Kiew for several nights. Scuba diving was good and a very relaxed atmosphere with good seafood. You need to bring a girl, didn't see anywhere to pick one up (did not look though), Maybe the girls on the beach offering massage are approachable for LT.
