The location, the price, the room, etc seem to be OK from its website but how are the service, guests friendly, etc?
Also how are the eateries along Ratchadapisek Rd compared to Sukhumvit Road?

location... so so but the MRTA is close by. Not too far from Sukhumvit. Even by taxi.
price... cheap (the package is nice if you don't have a transfer from / to the airport). Booking by the day is cheaper.
three nights = THB 2200 / Single THB 500 / Double THB 600
So you pay approx 400-700 for a round trip transfer.
room.. no idea. I guess nobody has stayed there... it's a little out of the tourist belt.
Guest Friendly... it's in the lower range and a serviced apartment doubling as a hotel... so I guess guest-friendly.
Lotus and the IT mall are closeby. Not so many eatieries as sukhmuvit but you won't starve.

Thanks for the info. The reason I decided to stay at this hotel is not only it's cheap but closed to all the MPs 
I know it's closed to all the MPs (based on the online maps) but have no idea how close it is. Any idea how long to walk from this hotel to poseidon and/or new cleopatra in minutes?

Thanks for the map. It's the most detail I'd found so far. I guess the walking distance from new cleopatra to poseidon would not be more than 30mins for me.
That's good. I'll position myself at Watana Mansion then. It's a strategic position, I can attack all MPs within walking distance

Accommodation is not that important to me. Basically, I'll just need a place to sleep and shower. The rest I would care less. So the cheaper the better.
I haven't been to hi class MPs before (apart from New Cleopatra many years ago).
Haven't been back to Bangkok for over 13 years. I'm determined to try out the best (girls) my budget allows

Suthisan is mentioned and this is mentioned on the hotel web site map,one soi is enough for me to cross referencing, posidon is a short stroll away

his question was how far, from this map I can see not too far, after you go and check it tell me if im wrong.
no sois mentioned what is suthisan road a khlong ?

I go by Wattana Mansion multiple times each trip, Dew lives one minute away from here, so I walk by there when I stay with her. 
Wattana Mansion is a one minute walk west of Ratchadaphisek Rd. on Soi 17. Poseidon is on the corner of Ratchadaphisek and Soi 17, so that makes Poseidon one minute away.
The Suttissan stop on the subway is about 5 minutes walk north along Ratchadaphisek. The Huaw Kwang (sp?) stop is about a 10 minute walk south.
Eateries are not near as abundant as along Sukhumvit, and my feeling is that almost everything in the area caters to Thais. Maybe a good thing, depending on what you want.
I checked out Wattana Mansion about two months ago. It was OK. Good value for 500 baht. It is nowhere near the quality and services of a full-service hotel. My guess is that 95% of the residents are monthly.
The real downside is traffic if you do not use the subway. I have found Ratchadaphisek is always backed up during the day.

Thanks so much guys. I went past Ratchadaphisek Rd when I was there (13 years ago). I can still remember there was Robinson shopping center (still is based on the maps).
This time I'll going with my wife and children so I want to put them somewhere surrounded by shopping centers so they can shop all day, that will leave me some free times to do a bit of 'self-adventure'.
Ratchadaphisek Rd seems to be the best location to me. There are a number of shopping centers (eg Robinson, Yaohan, etc) that will keep them occupied. MPs are within walking distance so I can 'sneak' out for some adventures with minimal time away. In the worst case, to get from one end to another (ie New Cleopatra to Poseidon) should be within 30 mins of walking, right?
Strategically, Wattana Mansion is ideal location indeed (correct me if I'm wrong).
As for eateries, as long as there are some there I'll fine. Don't know what the traffic is like in Bangkok now but I would assume it should take around 15-20 mins by taxi/tuk-tuk to say soi 4 Sukhumvit. Am I right?
