Have stayed at Landmark many times and like the location. Jw has offered same rate this time. Need your help......Which of these two is the preferred hotel? Does JW offer in room massage?

Mr Alan
Most would consider the JW Marriott to be the better hotel, but it is further to the BTS stop (Nana or Ploenchit) than the Landmark (Nana BTS stop).

Marriott definitely. Fantastic lobby. Rooms are good. OK, Mr Alan, it's SLIGHTLY further to BTS but we're talking 50-100 metres at most. If people can't walk that, they probably can't shag either.

I don't make a habit of paying $100+ per night on hotels in BKK, but if you want a really nice bed with an extra helping of ass-kissing, then JW is perfect. Landmark is still a really nice hotel though, so in unless they were the same price as you mentioned, I would probably just take whatever the Landmark's promotional rate was at the time.

But hey, I've been happy at the Majestic Suites next door also, so that should tell you what I know about fancy hotels.

I don't have a problem with the JW Marriott location. I was just saying that the "only" advantage of the Landmark is the location.

There was a story in the paper about a year ago about the JW Marriott wanting to build a bridge from the Ploenchit BTS station to the hotel. Compared to the other nearby 5 star hotels (Sheraton and Westin) it is a bit further to a BTS stop, and they are a bit sensitive about that. This is more of a issue during the hot and humid months.

Most people consider the Landmark to really be about 4.5 stars.

Anyone think the Marroitt rooms look a bit old fashioned? I have compared the pics the publish on the web to those previewed by Westin and Sheraton and those two look a lot nicer.

Of course that may not be the case in real life. Anyone stayed in both?
