The RAO bar I went to recently was on Pahon Yothin, well, just off Pahon Yothin in some sort of shopping center
not too far up (North) from RatchaYothin intersection
but,,, I've certainly seen signs for RAO on Srinakarin Road, as recently as last Monday eve
I assume they are starting new branches
I hope to make a return journey this year. Can anyone categorically tell me if the Rao Bar with the big red sign that is between the Mercedes showroom and the traffic lights is still open? I had a great time there in 2001.

Hi all,
Just letting you know that Rao still has two branches.
First one is at the RatchaYothin intersection, in amongst the Food Lion shopping complex near KFC.
Second branch has moved from Phattanakarn, near the Merc garage to.... Srinakarin Rd past seacon square. You get to it past the Srinakarin-Samutprakarn Intersection. It is down a Soi, cant miss it, much bigger than before.

Ask for seri Centre, Thanon Srinakharin, the new Rao is just past there, huge neon sign for all to see, in Thai mind you.

I had an e-mail from a contact in BKK just before Christmas. Yurune has it right on the button.
There is also apparently a very good deal for a Thai do your own barbecue close by. 79 baht ! Beer cheap too !
I think it is a short taxi ride from the Rao Bar.
