I haven't been to Orbit for about nine months, but I still had a few bottles on my membership, so I decided to have a look last night (Nov 25) and brought with me a few girls to help me with my slcohol consumption. I was there at about 11:15. not many customers downstairs, but upstairs seemed to be full. The place later gradually filled up. Not bad for a Thursday night.
I was told by the mamasan about the pre-closing party on 11/29. When they re-open in February, I think they will have a restaurant and a karaoke.
To my surprise, I met a few dancers that I used to drink and talk with there. I thought all the dancers I knew from almost a year ago had moved on to other places such as Caribbean. A girl I know actually returned from Caribbean. A dancer told me that she would be working after the re-opening, so maybe they will still have dancers dancing on the bar.

I went to their closing Party tonight. A damn PR Girl ripped me of. In 30 min. 2190 THB incl. 3 drinks on my invoice. They will open in 2 month again, they will have 14 Karaoke Rooms and almost the same staff.

OJ - did you complain? Was the bill correct or did they add stuff you didnt have?
I was there as well - finished ou - bottle had a great time. They charged me 100 baht for ice, but hey - what do you expect in a place like this?

DrLove - Sorry for the mistake and thank you for telling me how to spell it right. English is not my first language. But I was realy pissed off and wanted to let the forum know this.
hypershade - yes I did complane and tell them that they forget my 600 THB coupons, I ask them how many drinks I had. They sad one. I asked how many are on the invoice, they sad three. "You got it ?" so finaly they took off one and two were still on the invoice. So the result was of course no tip and will never come back (2 the new place in 2 month). Also I will be more carefuly about the PR Girls. She looked very happy. Maybe she get a big part from the over payed money.
I just come back from Coliseum. Much more relaxed atmosphare. Want to go to Carribean soon. Anybody want to go there too ?

No, I didn't correct you, OJ. I just confirmed your experience over there. Be careful with the PR girls. Invite one, and you get charged for all kinds of non-exisiting drinks.
If a PR girl sits with you, you have to buy a drink (I think) every 45 minutes. But extra 'burning cocktails' of around THB 300 arrive out of nowhere.
The girl told me that her avarage salary is around THB 30,000 baht (without the commissions).
That money has to come from somewhere.
If you stay away from PR girls and just watch, you'll probably be fine.
BTW English is not my first language too....

Sometimes it cuts both ways. I was there last week and after a few drinks at the bar I talked to a PR girl for a couple of hours. Actually, she did the talking and dancing while I stared at her fabulous tits.
I bought her some cocktails and when the bill arrived it was much less than I expected because they'd forgotten to charge me for my drinks when I first arrived. I was thinking about taking her out as she was definitely a bad girl but looked very expensive. Still, I had a good night there as I just went for fun.
