Thursdays and Fridays are a must for house/pussy lovers at Funky Dojo. On Thursday they got the French DJ from Mystique (RIP) and on Friday, Billy V. from Q is spinning at Funky Dojo. Billy is also at Q on Thursday, so you can have both on one day as well - as Funky Dojo gets going when Q closes. If you are more into hip-hop, open the slide door and slide your way into Twilo. Packed to the roof with FL's. Especially after 1 when all the BG's finish work. When you go for a pee at Funky Dojo, have your neck cracked by one of the dudes. You’ll feel strangely loose and refreshed. I always tell him to wait until I finished peeing though, because I don’t want some dude touching me while I am having a whiz. One nuisance at Funky Dojo is the fat (ter) female bartender. Quite frankly, she is a bit of a c***. Last time I ordered 2 sambucca’s, she set them on fire and when I didn’t take the straw she handed me fast enough she drunk one of the sambucca’s AND CHARGED ME FOR IT. I had a chat with Nicolas to straighten it out, but nonetheless steer clear of her. She is obnoxious and rude.

A Night to Remember... I've been trying to open a new topic under the Misc., Nightlife main topic but the system does'nt allow me to do so although I think this is worth a new subject. Anyway, here's the story.... After spending a week in Patong with a girl I just met during this visit, we flew to BKK to spend our last night together as well, after a great week in Patong beach. I've been coming to LOS a number of times the past 15 years and last time was just three months ago. I am not really a bar mongerer but rather lookout for a nice lady (with much respect to all kind of bar related businesses) who might be looking for some free lance business or I try to hook up with a restaurant waitress, a hotel staff or shop worker. I may say that so far I have had good succes to look after this type of chicks. Perhaps because I try to look fresh, dress polite and use enough deo's to attract the ladies. Maybe this could be part of the reason why this incident happened in Bangkok, just because of the look-rich-appearance, although I am definitely not. On my last night out, my girl decided to stay in the hotel room untill about 1.30am. Sounds cool to me so I could "look around" on my own before I sms-ed her to tell her to meet me at Twilo. She too is a "dressed to kill" lady with great attitude and immediately got attention from other party-goers. After she drank 2 or 3 red wines which normally never cause a problem to her, she felt dizzy, went to sit outside and had to threw up. She fel a sleep as well. All this happened at closing time of Twilo. About 3.00am that was. To me it was clear that something has been dropped in her drink to make her this sick. Someone called a tuk tuk from Silom to pick her (and myself) up to send us to our hotel. As soon we were inside the tuk tuk and entered Silom Road, about a minute later, a motocycle came driving aside of us, the backsitter snatched her handbag and drove on fast. I told the tuk tuk driver to make speed and follow them. That's exactly what he did and he tried his best to get the guys. Of course that is no match and shortly after, the handbag was gone forever. Our driver kept looking after them and all of a sudden, we heard bullet impacts on the back of our tuk tuk. Now, that was really serious we thought and drove as fast as we could towards the nearest police station. We tried to hide ourself by bending forward and pretending that we were hit. My gf was of course back to herself by this time. Finally when we arrived safely at the nearest police station, we were told to drive to the main office which our tuk tuk driver did. After filling in documents and declarations for about 1 hour and a half, the bib told us that our attackers probably used a toy gun. I doubt about that but when we finally laid in our comfortable bed, my gf losing 3000 baht, mobile phone, ATM card, account book, passport, a usb memory stick full of data and some other minor stuff. Ok, I know it sounds silly, and I that's exactly what I told my gf too, to carry her account book, passport and stuff. The fact is that she is about to open a shop in Patong Beach and went with me to Bangkok to buy some things for her business. To myself, nothing really happened but I felt really pissed of for her and the driver who spent two hours with us as well. I just want to warn you, look out at Patpong ! Perhaps this sh*t happens anywhere sometimes but an informed man is worth two. Oh yes, on arrival back in Belgium first thing I did is to book my next ticket to LOS. After all, nothing beats the LOS

Great story. I love it! Playing cops and robbers in a TUK TUK! Did you actually think those guys would give the purse back even if you did catch them? Your lucky you did not catch them...they would have probably kicked your ass, and then shot you. You met this girl at 1:30am. Who knows what she was drinking or doing prior to you meeting her, so add that on top of 2-3 glasses of red wine with you, and that is what probably made her sick. Anything involving a TUK TUK is always going to lead to trouble.

A bit off subject, but a couple of trips ago I was approached by a distraught French woman on Silom (near Patpong). Apparently her purse was stolen out of a dressing room in one of the nearby shops. She said her passport and all her money was in that purse. The sad thing (if this is true) was she had a little girl with her and her passport was also in the purse. She seemed so relieved that someone was willing to hear her out and could actually fully communicate with her about the situation. She asked if I had any kind of money to help her out being in such a jam. I asked where her husband was and she told me he went to go look for the purse or something to that extent. I couldn't help her as I was leaving for the airport to go home that night (in a matter of hours). I had just enough money to pay the airport tax and get home. All I could suggest was for her to go to the embassy for some help. I felt so bad just walking away. Pity if true... Another interesting thing I saw on Silom, right next to Patpong was a dead body in the median. I was riding back to my hotel in a tuk tuk and saw, which was surely a body, covered with a sheet with a cop standing near it. Nobody seemed to be fazed by the situation. It was like a dream as we drove by and everyone else was just going about business as usual.

Once again my TUK TUK theory is proven again. Anyone who goes out partying with their passport, should plan to lose it. Take only what you are willing to lose.

SCAM ALERT! Why would she ask you for money, when she has a husband who most likely has a wallet? Tossing the poor innocent child into the mix of the story just rounds out all the ingredients for a perfect little con-game. Aside from the fact that you are very unlikely to find a proper French woman asking a convenient stranger for money, especially if she has (again) a husband.
