Just spent 4 days in Sheraton. Visited new Bar twice. No action at all. Nice looking staff and French manager who, from what I saw,only speaks to friends.
Very disappointed and will not return.

Hahaha... easy. they purchased the info via your Mobile Phone Provider. if you read your contract, in VERY SMALL letters, you allow them to sell your number to certain organisations

I saw the French looking guy... seems lost and not knowing what to do... spends most of his time drinking at the bar.
There also was this kid... either a 23 yo lesbian dressed butch, or a 17 yo boy with a bad haircut... still don't know which... introduced itself as the manager. The barmaids were all over it, leaving the French guy to himself.
Some of the staff were quite nice looking. But nothing else going on.

Stopped in here last night after a meal at the Sheraton. It is big improvement over Rivas. The decor is nicer and more trendy.
Even though they advertise no House music, most of what they played was what I would call House Funk, or modernized disco tunes.
There was no cover charge to get in, but the drinks were a bit pricey. Paid 1700 for 4 drinks and a shot.
I did not see many of the old Rivas chics hanging around the bar, and it was definately a light night. Mostly people staying at the hotel.
It is not a bad place to take a girl to and have a couple of drinks, but not a place to look for them.

I had figured that this place would be at least okay on the weekends, but last Sat was dead at around 11:30 pm.
The layout is more or less the same as Riva's minus the area for the band. Most of the refinements you can't even see because it is pretty dark in there.
They seem to be going for a an older 35-55 crowd. Because of their policy of not letting in any single girls or girls who look like they might be working, there is zero action. Don't think the older, sophisticated crowd they are after really exists yet in Bangkok. Certainly older Thai's typically don't go out to bars/clubs like this, unless it is grand opening or some other hi-so event.
This is a OK pre-club place to go to around 10-11 pm on a weekend night for a quick drink with a friend and some tasty bites, but otherwise git it a miss. Don't think it will last long.

Went there for first time last night and share Anacott thoughts 100% I did have a good time though - food, service and ambience was great. I was with other people though and wouldnt go there on my own for sure.
