After reading all the reports and looking at the website, I had been looking forward to checking this place out. Convinced my mia noi to check it out Thursday night. Stopped by for a "early evening" cocktail a little after 8pm (I realize it's a little early but I thought this place opened at 6pm). Went around the corner to Baccara on Soi Cowboy and for 120 thb/cocktail and the environment (not just the girls but the physical setup) there was no comparison.
Anyway, not trying to trash the place but after reading so much hype and then seeing it in reality, not sure I'll be back. First impressions and all.
Just trying to give some honest feedback here as I know that there are posters here with financial interests in the place.
Comparing drink prices to SC... WTF is that all about? Yes on SC your crappy drink is cheaper and comes in a half filled tiny glass with lots of ice. It would take me about 6 drinks on SC to even feel anything. So you figure out your Cost to Buzz ratio on that.
Just for the record Glow does not play Techno. House yes. Some of you old timers need a class in music. If you want to listen to lynard skynard, stay on soi cowboy.
Personally I could care less how many people are there at Glow. It is a tool for a specific job. For me that job is getting some good drinks in a nice setting, with good tunes, where I have some space. It is a place where you and your friends can get primed up to go elsewhere and find girls later. It is also a place where you can take a girl if you want to talk to her, get her drunk, and then take her back to your place.
Many a good nights have been started at Glow with some fellow members of the Forum. If I was out on a date I would take a normal girl to Glow anytime, definately not Qbar. Like I said, it fits a certain niche.

Tonight, Saturday 14, DJ ARSIT at GLOW spinning sexy house beats and FREE BAR between 10 and 11!!!!!!!
DJ DAVE BROWN AND DJ CHADE at Glow next Friday January 20.
The music policy will be house, old and new. It will start deep and organic then move thru jazzy west coast, into bleeps, acid and minimal, then onto tech house. After that we'll see where it goes. The common theme to it all will be that it makes you move at the hips.

I will say that the party at GLOW on Friday was great. The place was packed. Some TGs, some farang women, some Thais... a good mix. The place was rocking. ThaidUp, rtb, BK, Kris and a few others were there. I was with CGFutureWife#49 who was a bit wide-eyed at the whole scene there. First time out with her, won't be the last either. 
GLOW is good when it is crowded. Nakadia did a good job, nice to look at too. 
Got to talk to Bangkok Runner again. Great guy, he even got my check bin on the 4th try getting it.  Bar staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the size of the crowd, but no real problems.

I'll second all of this, except that Glow would be better with more customers... we definetely donīt need to be packed like in Q bar but itīs not so pleasant to be the only group of customers in a bar. As of bringing a date to Glow over Q bar, quite agree as well although most girls I saw in Glow were hookers... definetely didn't manage to attract the up market regular thai crowd - RCA is getting more and more awesome in that sense BTW...
On a last note, I hope weīll manage another drink there soon enough - cool club in a great city!

I think there is a decent niche for a place like Glow.
It is clearly a place you bring your TG rather than pick up. Given that you are probably there with a girl or a bunch of guys that you actually want to talk to I think that the music is a bit loud.
I would like it better if say the upper floor was screened off from the full blast of the music. You could the choose whether to party with the music or hang out, chill out and chat in a different area.
A bit like Q bar where you can go on the terrace and chat without being blasted out.

GLOW is starting to get a good mix of customers of both farangs and Thai's, however the Thai's come in their own groups and are not interested in trying to be hit on.
GLOW is a great place to bring your date as opposed to Q-Bar, CM2, Rivas and pretty much any place around Sukhumvitt as it is not earmarked as a pick-up place and guys will not be hitting up on your dates every 2 seconds.
Most Bar girls seem really out of place at this venue. Taken out of there element most tend to be quiet and are looking for the nearest escape door. They tend to stick out here. They do not play Thai hits or the pop hits that they are used in the bars and many do not drink especially when they are not earning a commission off of the drink so they are looking at their watch thinking they are losing their chance to make another ST for the night.
