Yes, I am a dreamer and will always remain so. If I werent I would never had the financial success that I have had in my life. So I remain so. I thought that she might have sold the car and stayed away from the bar, but she choose not to.
I still believe what y____ said was the correct analysis. That she would not stepdown too far once she has a taste of big money. She might stumble and fall but given the time she will eventually be out of the bar game. A game that she has not seen for a year, and a game that she has successfully stayed away from for 5 months without any money from me. Maybe thats the dreamer in me.
Unfortunately, this is a very alluring and addictive lifestyle and the money these girls make would not be possible in any other job in Thailand, with maybe the exception of legit modeling.
The real problems come after these women reach their expiration date, replaced by the younger models. If they have not hooked up with a long term provider it will usually mark the beginning of a downward spirl of alcohol, drugs and weight gain that will only self-feed itself.
The rare intelligent girl will see this future and either educate herself or bankroll a lot of money, most will not.

Takes a lot of discipline for these girls to save money... One particular gal who I've known for 3 years now doesn't have a baht in long-term savings. She had a moment of clarity one day and told me she has nothing to show for all her time spent working, drinking, going in and out of the hospital, etc. Thought she was planning a change in her life as she had quit, but I've heard she started working again. Ah well....
One night a couple of years back I went to the now-defunct MOS with three Orbit girls. One of them was driving a pick-up and the other two commented how she was 'chalat maak' because she was able to save up money, and had actually bought the pickup from her own savings- not a sponsor's gift.
Frankly I'm amazed that any of these girls can lift themselves out of the trap- just look at how many educated foreigners bury themselves in debt.

Funny Crash coz I was not so long ago with 3 Orbit girls in Qbar and one of them was driving a Black BMW 330.
Well I have to admit it was a gift as she is the "Mia noi" of a couple of rich thai guys 
It seems that we collide much without knowing each other.... Just make sure you are not trying to get a free ride on my tail

Had a great time last night.
