On many, many Thai sites (you know the ones with the uni girl mobile clips and pix) they have ads which appear to be phone sex ads. If you call (er... my friend diddit) you listen to about 15 mins of recordings telling you what hot horny chicks are waiting to speak sexily with you... By that point, I--my friend--always hangs up. I constantly get messages now about sexy stories etc being sent to me sms, most of it free. It's all in Thai of course, and I don't have the patience to read a long complex story in that language.
Never went all the way though because I and anyone can get cute young FLs for cheaper than that. Also, some, not all or most, but some of those (local expensive) girls aren't very Service Minded with their sex... as we know that takes good training and/or experience.
But I guess that can be said for any venue.

The dilemma that you guys describe was one that wore me out, back in the day. I found a solution that worked for me.
I collected "regulars" from service-oriented establishments, the names of which we all know. I had my faves from Eden, my faves from Tulip, my faves from SoL. As we all know, the girls that work in these Bangkok institutions are managed very well, and bullshit is exceedingly rare. Behave like a gentleman, and you will never encounter a problem.
I personally was never fascinated by the so-called "hunt," or the "chase," if you prefer, and I much preferred the certainty of knowing exactly what was on the menu, what exactly was in-bounds and what was off-limits.
We had the benefits of familiarity, we actually liked each other, and yet we all knew that we were engaged in a transaction. While there was genuine affection, care and concern involved, we were all clear on the fact that we did not love one another. No confusion, no hearts running amok, no jealous scenes.
Still, it was nice, it was fun, and it was real, more real than playing the lottery and hoping that you would score the one-in-a-million girl fresh from Kon Kaen from the Nana parking lot.
Best of all, they were just a phone call away.
Then I went and got married.
No regrets. It is working out just fine.
But, if I had not found my own "one-in-a-million" girl, there is no doubt in my mind that I would still be patronizing my regular girls from Eden, Tulip, and SoL.
I recently accompanied some associates on a tour of these three establishments, and was pleased to see that some of my old girls had dropped out of the industry. I get the rare SMS from them, but they know that I am now a married man, and these girls were all the type who genuinely wished me well. Some of them have found men who have taken them out of their old jobs, and I fervently hope that they can find happiness. Not to say that I do not sometimes miss them. I do. But we will always have Paris.
I was also intrigued, pleased, and yes, saddened, to see that new talent had replenished the ranks of all three establishments. Some really nice girls.
So, this approach may not work for you. It worked for me, until I decided to make a commitment to my favorite girl of them all.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the line-ups in these establishments, do not believe the hoary canards that the girls there are all unattractive. There are hotties at Eden, at Tulip, and at SoL. Not a lot of them, and they are often booked. But if you think about it....they are often booked by guys who are mongering in my old style. They have their regulars.
I suppose my point is, it is possible to collect favorites, and make that late night phone call. Or better, make a date ahead of time. I used to love the sound of high heels clicking in the hallway outside my door. I used to love opening the door to one of my favorite girls.
Pricing? Perhaps a little more than a couple thousand baht for the whole night. Eden takeaway is 3,000 baht. Tulip is comparable. SoL, up to you and the girl, bar fine included.
For those who balk at the idea of paying a favorite girl 3000 baht, well, you get to deal with the pro's and con's of the hunt. You never know what you are going to get, unless you are a repeat customer. For a thousand baht more than the "going rate" for a freelancer...well, we all know what you get from an Eden girl, or a Tulip girl. What you get from an SoL girl, aside from very competent head, is a secret between the two of you.
And that is what I have to say about that.

You know this whole subject is bigger than freelancers. When I guy wants to get shagged with some level of quality of girl and experience what are the options and best approach. Of course it’s different for each of us. Me I don’t really like bars that much and like to go to bed early – with a smile on my face. You I don’t know. ma91clan is 100% spot on. The goal is a transactional relationship that doesn't quit feel like that. is I faked or is it real? Does it matter? - if it's has some relaxed connection and good sex maybe better "don't think too much".
The girl I met at Bier Garden has me thinking. He she is a few months in the job. Yes I know they are all just a few months into the job... but let take this at face value. She from upcountry here making money working in her aunts stall at Patunam selling clothes. The aunt says you can go make some extra money in the evenings so there she is. Maybe this is some sort of a holy grail. A gig with no headaches - and no promise either way. I don't want the hassle and tax of going to a bar when really all I want is a girl for some fun. And frankly I don't care if she is a stunner if the body is right and she's cute in that Thai upcountry sort of way.
Reading this, and out doing my own market research, it's clear that there is no magic freelance spot and that freelancers offer no better risk / reward proposition than the average bar girl at Nana Rainbow or whatever. In fact at Nana you get to inspect the merchandise in much closer detail before making a purchasing decision. In fact for a one time, short time, that might be the easiest most predictable The challenge is when you find a winner having to visit said bar and pay the tax again and again. It's hard to opt out of the system at that point.
I'm lazy and picky. (I'm not particularly cheap so all is not hopeless!). What I really want is to have 2-3 women who I know I can call anytime and have a good chance of having dinner with someone who's company I enjoy and sex with a girl who's body pushes the right buttons with me and who's performance in bed makes it fun. And I'm willing to pay an above market price - transactional or recurring for this experience Fellow's is this too much to ask??? Maybe ma91clan has the right approach.
This week - coming home one night empty handed I rolled over to Suttisan near my place and got a girl in a bar I hadn't been to before. Had to endure the somewhat depressing scene, a beer I really didn't want, bad pole dancing by bored girls, chit chat with a girl who wasn't that great who in the end didn't want to go anyway but did get me another girl I'd been trying get to sit with me but it turns out she was afraid because she doesn't speak any English but when I had a reference "poot Thai dai" she came over, we went out, she was fun. (I think that was a run on sentence) Called her Friday and she ended up blowing off work for dinner and falling asleep listening the the rain in one of the ST hotels nearby. Now if I don't have to have that bar tax and schedule hanging over me this girl could be on the very short list for sure. Which goes to show I guess there are a couple ways to skin this cat...

I've come to the conclusion that it's always hit and miss. My experince with freelancers is about the same as girls from clubs - some are good and some aren't. Maybe a club advantage if you get to see the girl not wearing much at all - at least you know that. But performance you never know until you try.
Overall after trying some of the recommendations here I just found it a little harder to find quality in FL. The key hang outs are low quality or above the age range I like or are happening past when I like to be in the hunt. The Nana parking lot is about the best of the lot.
I'm finding that some of the off the beaten path bars that aren't places one would go are good to meet someone and when you have someone you like they are pretty flexible about just meeting up instead of going to work so you avoid that part of the process. Maybe they show up for work late and have to cover the cost of a few drinks. I was never too worried about the money - I just don't like bars. Rather have some phone numbers, call someone to have dinner and some fun and call it a night. Seems to be working out OK now.
