I like the lights and DJs of insomnia, but not that it doesnt really get going until about 1am.
going in at midnight, and you are there with scattered FLers who are chatting with the staff....

Poskat, I have finally come to realize that if one is actually interested in going to the clubs like Insomnia, one is better off taking an early evening nap, going out for a late night bite to eat at 10 p.m., and hitting the club of choice around 1 a.m. or so, anticipating that you will be staying out until at least 4-5 a.m., boom boom, and sleep until sometime the next afternoon. And so on.
Trying to go to Insomnia after a night of cruising SC or Nana just doesn't work as well, because by the time it gets going I am ready to go home and get some needed rest and sleep....

... today's BKK Post reports increasing enforcement in BKK's adult entertainment zones was announced by The highly respected Royal Thai Police... while this will probably mean nothing to illegal prostitution, it might mean restricting hours of operation, policing for underage girls, and maybe drug searches/testing (which would be consistent with the government's recently announced new drug war).
... as DG notes above, this too shall pass.

Taxi drivers will pay you 50 baht to bring you to the door, they get 100. This applies to anyone, I just walk up to corner. Any taxi will take you to spicey for free, do not pay taxi's to take you to spicey, they get a nice kickback.
