If it was pay issues, I would think it is odd that all (Most) were shut down. I however did not go to Soi 5, or that other place near state tower. Forgot the name.

Thermae closed at 1h30am on Thursday night, 2 cops in uniform in the bar, 1h30am the light went on and everybody had to leave.
Sat down for a while outside, finishing my beer that I bought inside, then a Thai guy came over to me and said I couln't drink beer there lol !
So I finished my beer and went home !
BTW last week I was in a upstairs pub/disco in suk soi 7/1 (soi eden for the intimi) which was open after 3am !

Ruang Muang Soi One was open last night. It is kinda of after hours bar/fishbowl place. Pretty much a shithole, but it was open. The only thing is that area seems to attract a lot of Farang Backpacker types from Khaosan. It was mostly all farang, with sprinkle of TGs.

I was last night in Boss pub, very easy to find even for first timer, and really most taxi will understand if you tell then "disco near Big C Pratunam"
Arrived at 1.45, the place was packed both with young tourist and Thai girls, some ladyboys from NEP too...
But it got suddendly closed at....2.37 AM !!!
