Not really. I just enjoy sitting at the bar chatting with the adorable Pat for example in between dance sessions. It gets crowded downstairs sometimes. I can’t see how that could cause offence.

wouldn't know good music, so most of Billy V';s best stuff is probably wasted on them.
Which really is a shame. I have sent him some support through email and he really appreciated it. Out of gratitude, he played 3 Felix da Housecat remixes the next week. Needless to say we went totally wild on the dance floor that day.
He went a bit more mellow last Saturday. Oddly enough, we found musical catharsis when they started spinning electro at 2am at Mystique. (Which stays open till 3am behind closed doors nowadays by the way.)
The aggressiveness Q bar management is using to get people out the door at 1am (“Please leave now. The DJ is gone. Our parking lot is open 24 hours. You can continue your conversation there.”) is a bit disturbing though. Apparently they had a little run-in with the MIB and are forced to turn on the lights at 0055 and shove people out while pouring their drinks in plastic cups.
If you really like the original Plastik Dreams by Jaydee.... I suspect I actually have the original on vinyell... if you want to invest your hardearned baht, I might be willing to part with it..... 
Ah, a vinyl lover. I knew there were still some around.

Talk to them about it - apparently they are REALLY looked at quite closely by the MIB and the local 'commander' (not clit, though) is anal about PRECISE 1:00am closing. They have gotten threatened with the 30 day shutdown a few times, for just taking 10-15 minutes longer to get people out the door. Unlike most of the Thai establishments (which, somehow, seem to stay open longer they are taking this seriously -- it's their business at stake, after all.
I'd say 'complain to the cops', but I don't know how to say "Can I make bail?" in Thai.
Apparently closing times are being relaxed pretty much everywhere EXCEPT the Lumpini Park area, which they (and Bed Supper Club) are in... Apparently there's one police colonel that is taking his job too seriously (my speculation, not fact).

For all the less frequent visitors to Q Bar.....
The last weeks Q Bar has regularly been closing later than 1.00 AM. Some days they went on until after 02.00 AM. Some days there is police present outside and they need to close at 1.00AM. Police is hovering inside just after that to make that point clear. Other days they do not appear and Q Bar management tries hard to keep going as long as possible.
This is not policy of Q Bar and his management, just the police who is not consistent in enforcing regulations. Official time is 1 AM, Q Bar will try to stay open as long as possibel.
(I know.... normally we are trying to get that last drink when all others left... LOL)

The problems with Q bar extend far beyond your knowledge base. But then you knew that already right, just could not help yourself and had to make an OPINION, again. Right?
Q bar knows why they are targeted, everybody else who knows some background on Q bar and the owners also know why.

Have to say.... this statement is probably very true.
It is not only 1 factor which is in play here but a combination off different issues.
