Juniper, I think you're right about the revenue coming from local Thais. My friends that work there do say that they make more money off of the Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans, Indonesians, etc but that's probably just tips. Booze sales is probably mostly Thai.
One thing that bothers me about the girls that work there is when we hang out is how bad some of them talk about their customers. These are the guys that tip them big and some of the gals joke about how stupid so and so farang is or how they are milking that dumb Japanese guy. I mean it is true, but that borders on cruelty...
I'm sticking to Slim and freebies...

Very true, there are definitely groups of girls in these club that are harden and became very cruel. My advise to the newbie is to just have fun in these clubs and take as what it is and not get suck into it. (e.g. fall in love)

I've only been to Carribean once but what I saw wasn't all that impressive and I concur with hypershade - it's not productive enough either in terms of time or money.

I read somewhere else on the board that the Japanese are the largest group of expats in Bangkok. Bummer.
You can’t blame these guys, compared to prices in Tokyo, 4000baht barfine or a 10.000baht tip for a stunning woman is peanuts. I read about business guys spending 25.000USD on a night out in Tokyo.
I don’t see them coming into Q, Mystique or CM2 to steal the cheese from in-between our bread though.
What I do despise however is that they do not allow farangs in “their” clubs. I don’t mind their spending sprees and the girls profiting from their sexual frustration. I do however, mind their plain racism towards Caucasians.

That is why Thailand is so much better then most other racist Asian countries. Thailand does not have all those homogeneous hang ups that say Japan, Korea, and China have. Thais love all their half breed stars.
Just another reason why we like Thailand. Thankfully there are enough girls and places for everyone to be happy.
These kind of places are good to just enjoy the sights while you enjoy your drinks. If you are some desparate slob that is just there to buy your way into some hotties pants, you will probably be just wasting a lot of money for nothing. She will keep milking you.
I have scored a few Orbit girls by just hanging out, partying, and primarily enjoying getting myself f***ed up. Buying some drinks for the girls, but tipping only the bartender. Not to mention the many phone numbers I never bothered to call.
Personally, If I am going to do some drinking prior to going to a bigger disco, I prefer to have some nice scenery.

Heheh... A while ago I had a bit of a 'shots' rivalry with one of them over a gal. I've since spoken with her a number of times. Actually a fun/good person to know.
Same with 'sii phan', the guy anyone who hung out at Club 20 or Caribbean would recognize. He's fairly friendly but damn it's hard to understand what he's saying even in Thai.

They started at Orbit in its heyday and now are in Carribean. I remember G when she was at Orbit and she seemed less interested in money back then. Be careful, she and Big Tits are the Queen Bees!
I was with the group on Sunday night. Some now sponsored and not working, others at Resort, and I didn't know/ask about the other chick. Your chick was there too- drop me a PM if you want any info as I'm not writing anything on here anymore about that group... Learned the hard way that some readers here can't resist keeping their traps shut.

SOunds like you had fun. Remember, Im trying to stay away from the drama queens. Would like to know what happened. I sense there's some bickering in the bunch about me or my new tgf. (I received a couple of nasty pms from froozen flakes of water last week.)
Funny thing. New tgf heard frozen flakes of water was at Slim over the weekend and went to there Monday hoping to find her and "punch S--- in the mouth." (I thought new tgf was an angel). Dropped into Piano for a quick bite of their delicious French fries but the place was pretty lame so headed to Carribean. Been a few months since I went to Carribean and the dancers have improved. Some new dancers with bodies that are so curvacious and tight that my customers were screaming to take them home immediately...5555. I told them they can try but this is not Poseidon. One girl named Ping Pong has such a sweet body that one client said that he'll sign anything if I get her for him...no wonder Asian companies entertain their clients in these venues. DJ was good as usual...had a good time until the bill came...my regular mamasan wasn't there so her replacement ordered a beer and charged me 560 Baht for it... I smiled at her and told her that's the last time she's getting any more drinks from me...she doesn't understand much English but she got the point quick enough.
