TPE, this time I do not agree with you. At present it looks a lot like a regular pick up joint. Some nights the previous 'old' atmosphere is back but too many days you find a fair amount of freelancers. Too bad, previously I would have agreed but things changed. Don't get me wrong, I still like Q bar and frequent the place several times a week. Maybe not always out of my choice but normally I enjoy being there. And..... still the best drinks in town!

Manuel...still sucking down those Long Islands?.....definataly the best I had in BKK along with the Sukhothai and Dusit tahni bars...but better value at Q Bar.

Ah yes, I remember that if you hang out with Manuel in BKK you'll end up at Q Bar much more often than not. Definitely worse places to have a few drinks - although I remember quite a bit of tourists rounding out the FL scene.

I was once at QBar during my last vacation and I did not like this place.
Basically too many farangs (expats/tourists) with "uppernose" "Trendy" attitude that I know already from certain clubs/bars back home I hate.
In Qbar, you would not notice you are in Bangkok.
However, I can't deny the atmosphere, drinks and deco are good.

q-bar probably can only be topped by spasso with the uppernose attitude! all of thailand is friendly enough but those places remind me too much at all these western venues I am actually trying to escape!
what I particular hate in q-bar are all those western guys trying to pose in the most rudest and unfriendly way especially when they do have some farang girls around them. farang girls in there are sometimes even worse in their behaviour as they seem to look down nearly on all local girls anyway! no surprise no decent farang guy looks at them in LOS!
q-bar used to be one of my favourite places about 3 years ago, but nowadays there are so many better options available!
sorry manuel not trying to degrade your first home!

i absolutely agree with you, went to q bar once a few month ago and did not like it. the bar has a snobish atmosphere to it. I have enought of that in my home country, so no thank you...
i saw a few freelancers, but did not think that they were better looking than nep or sc girls though.

Yeah the drinks there are strong. If I'm touring around the go-gos I can have 4 or 5 drinks before I start feeling a thing, though probably some of it is the time used to drink them as we tend to bar-hop.
But in Q Bar, whoah... A couple of drinks and I'm a happy boy.
