I was at Carribean last Friday and Saturday nights until it closed. According to one of the sales girls, Carribean has 70 dancers, 50 sales girls and a total staff of 400. Per my Thai friend, besides the usual PRs, Carribean also has a group of girls they call "Pretties" and the gimmick is that they are fresh faces and have never worked at other places before. For the most part, the "Pretties" stand behind the bar and chat with the customers. I tried to talk to a few of them and their English were very minimal. One of the "Pretties" was an English major in University and she was too shy to use her English. 
On Friday night, the shows started at 10 pm, with a 30ish LB singer, then a couple of guys did a bit of fire dances, a female Thai singer and six bare chested gayish male dancers (I thought this place was about cute girls) and more Thai singers (I was not really paying attention to the shows at this point). I agree with Mr. Bill that the shows were tedious and time consuming. Finally at 11 pm, the dancers (45 of them) showed up and were seperated into two groups, one on the main stage and one on the V shaped bar (I think the V shape bar is suppose to be the bow of a pirate ship). My friends and I were on the back bar (the one closest to the entrance) and it was a bit far away to get a good look at the dancers on the main stage (the place is the size of a large gym). The dancers were on stage for less than 30 min and they started mingling with the crowd, and more Thai singers and show people came on stage. The problem was that there were so many guys that the PRs and dancers disappeared into the crowd. I am guessing that the number of customers was in the hundreds, may be close to a thousand and mostly Thai. A couple of former Orbit dancers came by and said hello, but other than that we were only able to talk to a few "Pretties" from time to time. I guess we were not spending enough money to attract the girls' attention.
On Saturday night, some big spenders were at Carribean because I saw several dancers with sashes made from 1000 baht notes. I am guessing that it takes at least 15 notes to make a sash and a couple of the sashes were fairly long. One dancer had two long sashes and she was grinning from ear to ear. 
The overall quality of the girls at Carribean is somewhat better than Orbit's, but that's expected as Carribean is the new hotspot and that's where the money is.
I thought the shows were a waste of time. For me personally, I prefer the set up at Orbit. It's smaller and more personal. May be I will change my mind when I get use to the place. I think each person will have to decide for himself if he prefers Carribean or some other place.

Haha y____...took the words out of my mouth. Don't know why they are called Pretties because I didn't see any behind the bar. I asked my sales lady why they are behind the bar and she said that they don't like to be touched...I guess some guys need a challenge because the bar is pretty full most of the time.
Now that they moved the PRs downstairs on the left, get there early and get a table near them and bring a flashlight...eye candies galore. Even better is to go during their bi-monthly meeting...mandatory so there must be over 100 PRs sitting there. Sunday is the worst day to go...but I like it...lots of elbow space at the counters and all the girls are eyeing you like a cash machine.

I thought "pretties" referred to the girls in the bars who had cute faces, but were, shall we say, a bit oversized. I'm not sure I can handle this new definition; it's going to take a lot of time to purge those old images out of my head.

Gawddarnit...
I hate working these 80 hour weeks anymore, otherwise i'd waste more time and money trying to pick up girls at caribbean. I finally made it over there last weekend and I don't know if this is a good thing or bad but I knew many of the dancers and PR girls from Orbit and Forte. There's this sales lady who used to be at Forte and who I think is quite beautiful. Anyone ever try to pick up a sales woman?

Yes and it made going back to (old) Forte very difficult for several months later after I realized she wasn't my exact type (she could drink enough to float a battleship).

I went there last Saturday and the place was great. what great women! But my mates and I didnt have the success of other posters here. The ladies who sat with us, made it clear, every one of them, that they dont go out.
I did speak to a dancer for 5 minutes...now she calls me that she misses me. Are the dancers the doable ones? Is there a secret password?

they love this.
they don't go out now, because they are expecting to get gobs of money from you when you go out later (another day/evening).
just wondering if you managed to get laid at all that evening ??

Ok I have only been there once, and it was a Sunday but my feeling is that, under it all, this place is a dump. Let's face it... it is a bit of a prick teaser joint... yeah some of the girls will go with you... but many wont... some might go with you but might not put out... and some might sweet talk you all evening and then... nothing.
And what is the point of getting prick teased in this joint..
1. It is in the middle of nowhere
2. The music/show is crap
3. It is a stadium rather than a bar
Do you really need to go all the way up to Rachadapisek and beyond to get this quasi-western experience...
...the experience that you are supposed to feel chuffed because you have persuaded one of the dancers to have sex with you for money (or whatever) while some of your mates just got prick teased.

Eventough I loved my first experience at Caribbean, I gotta agree with Abrak....the mate I was with spent lot of time trying to convince the girl he had to go with him...drinks were poured, food was ordered but at the end, nothing!
You really have to figure out very quickly the possible end or you could find yourself with nothing but a block of bills in your hands!

Thanks guys, you have confirmed my feelings about this place before I invested any more money. I thought maybe I was missing something. But I agree...it is a stadium, lousy music, far away. And why get prick teased? This is Bangkok after all
