Okay, so I have read the previous and I still don't know if it is open yet and what kind of place it has become and what the pricing for everything will be.
This time we are flying in on JAL and probably won't make it to our hotel on suk 26 until maybe 1am.
Also, was orbit included in the 1am closing or is it out of the area that were affected.
Any firsthand knowledge or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Orbit has already reopened in a 'soft' kind of way. I think the official opening is tomorrow or maybe Saturday.
I havent been but it appears that all the basic rumours in this thread are true. Price of LDs drinks raised, karaoke rooms etc..
The buzz from the girls is not good.

Well when I said above that this place had already had a soft opening it was based on feedback from an Orbit girl who had gone there to work and who came back to say there were no dancers. I didnt realise she meant no dancers, no customers, no booze - it's still closed.
On Thursday night I popped along just to check it was as bad as most people think it is going to be. The car park was full - full of cars from the builders. The guy said it was going to open 'tomorrow' but the place didnt look like it was ready at all. The new set up has a certain tacky Pegasus look about it. Dont hold your breath.

I was told last night that it will probably open on the 10th of April. I looked at the inside and they did a nice job and it looks comfortable.
I just think that Karoake bars in Bangkok suck compared to other places and cater to only a certain, one of which I am not part of.
No old memberships will be honored at all, but if you had a membership they will give you one bottle of booze for your troubles. I cannot wait to see how this goes over on opening night. They are looking for a new crowd though and what a way to get one.
