That is just crap. One of the only places where you can rely on good service and good drinks.
Only time they 'refill' Absolut bottles is when you order a liter of frozen shots. They poor them in Absolut bottles and serve them with shot glasses...
I come there a lot. Always sit at the bar and have that, and other things, as my entertainment. All bottles are numbered and all are opened in front of the crowd. There is no meddling of refilling quality drinks. Take my word for it.
(Or did this story come from a former manager who now is leading another night spot? Jealous that it not as successful as Q Bar maybe? BTW, he got fired...)
ADDED:
I am more than willing to set up a meeting between said person and Q bar management to sort out those allegations.
Q Bar has been successful for a long time because they have consistently offered good quality entertainment and drinks. They do not deserve anything like stated above!

Oh come on StrayGypsy, people go to Q Bar because it is the top freelancer joint in town with plenty of girls willing to go for freebies too. By 'top' I mean in terms of looks and intelligence. Gee there is even a fair chance she will have a car to drive you back to your hotel. Nearly all the girls speak fluent english which can be a bonus for non-Thai speakers.
Go to Hollywood/Dance Fever and the chances of picking up a chick are pretty slim and next to none if you cant speak thai.

While I agree with 90% of your post, I gotta disagree with you on this point. I know you are only making a statement of fact but as I see it Q Bar's competitive advantage is that it is a great place to pick up good looking, educated, english speaking Thai chicks.
As a fun place to just hangout, I dont rate it. The music is too loud to talk, too quiet to dance. The lighting is too low to see people properly, but light enough that you are always spotted by people you dont want to see. (In additon I dont like the music but that, I admit, is just personal taste.) Bottom line, what I dont really like about this place - its not really a dance club, like Narcissus or even places like Booze and not its not really a hangout like The Face or H1. Its somewhere imbetween and doesnt work on either count for me.
I do go there sometimes mostly with farang mates (usually visitors) looking to pick up quality chicks. It excels in that area.

Hmmm.... I also agree with Abrak view. Finally he articulated why though I like Q, I don't like it that much. I have always been at a loss when trying to explain why I don't like it so much.
I like it mostly also early on before it gets very crowded (hate it when you can barely move). Probably best to go drink and chat with a friend at around 9pm.
BTW, only place in BKK where the bartender fixed us a few Bloody-Bulls -he wasn't too happpy as it took too much of his time. Each time he kept saying they were the lasts.
