Made me miss the old Orbit even more. The Flirting, the dancing, the kissing.....
So where's the hotspot these days? My Thai friend told me it was Resort but he hasn't been to dancer bars in a while- bored of them, he says.
My 3 most regular gals are all not working, all 3 on sponsorships.
Birthday is coming up and am looking for a fun place to blow a few 'meun'... Any suggestions???

Pent is the place to be during Songkran. You will be WET! Wear shorts, sandals, BYOWG (bring your own water gun), put your money in a ziplock bag and prepare for a nite of soaking fun!!! This is the only time you can get the girls dancing on the table and squirk them with so much water that all their nipples are poking thru their white t-shirts. (The secret is to put ice water in your water guns...5555555) See y'all there!

I went to Old Orbit last night, and as other guys have said, I miss the old place. The place is still partially still under contruction outside and in. They did honor my past membership without a problem. Like someone said, the band there really sucks. I much prefer the old half naked singer chic.
While the band was playing all the drink girls hang out inside the new circular bar, looking totally bored out of their skulls like many soi33 bars, and the dancer chics are no where to be seen when they are not dancing. We had to endure the whole band thing until the girls started dancing. I recognized one or two from Orbit before. Overall everyone there seemed to be quite uptight, and orchestrated.
They spent a lot of money re-doing the place, I can't imagine that Orbit was not making money before. I will go there until I can't drink for free anymore, and I think the place is not going to last long in the current set up.
We did manage to try to still have fun there before heading off somewhere else.

What a shame ! just don't know why they would mess with a good thing like the Old Orbit. Well, will be in town next week and plan on going there to spend the rest of my old membership. Fond memory of the old place.....maybe should give the new place a chance to prove itself. Maybe they have not found the right formula.

Polished up my old membership last night there. Since it was a non-sunday, there were a few more girls from the old Orbit. Like the one in my bed right now...lol.
Over the past two nights I would have to say that the place is about 10-20% girls dancing, vesus the 80% of the time that cheesy band is playing.
There might be hope though. They seem to be taking a lot of feedback from people on what they think, and say they are kinda experimenting. I was pretty much the only white guy in there for most of the night.
I was told that a new membership will cost 30,000THB, and that will let you have 150 drinks. Not sure about bottles since I don't really like JWB. I was told that without a membership drinks would be 400THB each. 30,000THB divided by 150 is about 5 USD a drink.

I just thought that would add another report on this place.
I went there the other night for a second time with two friends will not be going back there until I hear that they change some things around.
I always liked to just sit at the bar and order my own drinks from the bartender. I am not the bottle kinda guy I guess. Well now there is no booze located behind the bar, and when it took 30-40mins for us to get served two mixed drinks, and a Heniken I was pissed off. This is after asking numerous people a few times for our drinks. The guys they have working behind the bar seem to all be clueless as to what to do. After not getting our drinks for a half hour we closed are tab and left.
Ok that was one thing, but that band they have playing there really sucks. Maybe a good band to enjoy a meal out with your parents. Now it would not be so bad enduring them if they only got limited air time, but they are playing 80-90 percent of the time. Dancing girls no where to be seen. All the girls (Dancers and Drink Girls) are locked up within the perimeter of the bar like a bunch of cattle.
They also must have at least a dozen girls just sitting around doing nothing at the entrance. I was told that they are sell membership girls, but they could have used all that untapped employee power to get my drink in time. The only girls working the memberships seemed to be the normal ones from old Orbit.
Another thing is I think they have raised the prices on everything, and that you will have to have a membership to even get in the place. My friend asked the price of a bottle, and was told it would be around $75 for a bottle of Bacardi.
If the place was able to be endured I might consider spending some money there, but I will wait till they lose so much business they might be forced to change things before I will go back there.
The real shitty part is that they have a lot of fine girls dancing there now. You also know things have gone down hill when the girls have to resort to challenge you to a game of connect four at this place. That should show you how boring things have gotten.

Relax. You are only pissed off with the place because it isnt Orbit.
The new club is looking for an older, more asian crowd, so it is inevitable that if you liked the last band you wont like the new one. Maybe it will work, maybe it wont. But the clientele will certainly be different.
Use up your memberships fast as the last remnants of the old Orbit disappears.

Ummm, connect four, never play that in a G club yet. It seems they change the format to be like all the other G club in town, which is a shame. I really like to go to Orbit before because its format is different from the old guards. Well, I guess I have to check it out next week when I am in town.

Yuk. That’s just as worse as that dice game that is played in every clubs, bar, café, restaurant and pigeonhole in China. And of course in Piano. As soon as a g-club starts adapting Piano, I am out.
