To me the biggest problem with Glow is the strength of their drinks. I know it sounds pathetic but they are simply too strong. An early evening drink (for which the place is ideally suited) ends up knocking out the whole evening.
WTF...That is a valid compaint? Hmmm..You could always just drink ONE! Take control of your drinking. Yes it is pretty pathetic for a guy to say that the drinks are to strong, but it just goes to show you that you can't please everyone.

Been to Glow again on Sunday and really enjoyed the dj contest, some truly talented candidates...
And some veeery sweet TG as well, no FL typo thingy though... all with their company... but making a good juicy atmosphere anyway...

hhmmm... Glow...went there for the opening night a couple of months ago and mostly found it a copycat of Qbar, same style and crowd. Wasn't much in a mood and left fast.
Gave it another try early last friday. Almost nobody in the place except a couple of friends and 2 very hot dancers are on the bar. Feels great to be back in BKK! Get a couple of the house famed strong drinks than move to Qbar. Overpacked and nothing very exciting around. Actually Glow is a good alternative and if they could split the crowd between both bars it would be almost perfect.
Anyway go there again last night with GF around 9, she gets 2 free drinks coupons as it's lady's night and we sit in the couches on the back to get a quick dinner. Now it reminds me a bit of Bed. Still nobody but a couple of cops drinking at the bar. They have a huge screen by the bar showing psychedelic computer generated images and now it pulls me back to the short lived but nice Tantra in Pan Pacific... starting to think that Glow place is a very cool mix of a lot of styles already around in Bangkok and it deserves a bit more success. Still nobody by 10.30 and before I fall from the deadly cocktails and as GF is interested in a lesbian show we take the short walk to Soi CowBoy, always an interesting place if you're into guessing why and where some species got stuck in their evolution from monkey to human...
Worth a look as well for the shows sometimes...unfortunately when they start the lesbian routine in Suzie Wong there are police scares nearby and it abruptly stops, we leave cow boy and I'm 4 gin tonic further west...
Drop in an internet cafe than head back to Glow, check if the Ladies' night is picking up... perhaps 15 birds for 5 guys inside... not exactly bustling but the right odds Forget about the GTG dream though I know most of the girls and they're freelancers from CM2, Qbar and Nana... quite the top of the barrel though, so a nice place to pick up on monday nights... notice I've only done one of those girls, which is a fairly poor ratio. But she's a totally submisive fair skinned girl from MaeSot/Pithsanoulok I've seen going without blinking through intense mouth f***, 2 dildos and a dick and on a different occasion two dicks. She said her mother taught her : "Ta day ngeun, may tong bon" (If you're making money, don't complain) Holy woman she must be!!
Anyway the staff is extremely pleasant and everybody gets free shots, as it happened during my last visit, as well as all the appetizers left in the place after I told I was still hungry. We down a couple more drinks and I leave the place on a sweet cloud... really guys give Glow a shot!
We soon reach Ascott and as i'm a romantic boy we head to the reception to book a cruise dinner for Loy Krathong, still holding the Glow's cocktail in a plastic glass as that's not childish business to deal with. Receptionist says they will take care of it in the mornng than we go up to the suite where I firmly intend to f*** girlfriend up the ass. There's no more lubricant and she complains while I'm working on it on the sofa and as far as I remember she gets away with it.
Wake up in a mess after a couple of hours and while I'm stroking girlfriend for some more action she has different side of the story to tell, kindda "yang jep ja tie you leuy !" :dunno:
Life is full of surprises, you might say, but if there's a paradise on earth... spelling mustn't be far from BANGKOK

Glow is still the place for an early-evening cocktail (that will mess you up) and meet up with BTF'ers.
There are actually starting to come in some "other" people as well - and I sincerely hope this trend goes on.
For two nights in a row the music that was being played was amongst the best house I heard in a longtime in BKK. None of that loungy stuff anymore, but slamming beats.
As Baquawn found out last night, it's quite a marvelous idea to ask the bartender to use his imagination and mix him whatever drink he sees fit - and keep em coming.
