I am not new to BKK 5 trips 3 with the wife and 2 with the boys, saw most of the Nanna and soy cowboy. Any place for long term visitors who like soft music and good food with girls.

Try the piano bar, Sol Twin Towers, nice music not all that loud and all the ladies I took there liked it big time. Check out the Sheraton and the Landmark hotel. Not everyone on this board is young. Last time I looked I'm 55 according to my driver's licence.

just a thought but Country Road is across from the Sheraton and next to the Grand Pacific, soi 19 on Sukhumvit. Often it is quiter in there in the early evening. Other quiter bars can be found on Soi 33 - some of the dead painter bars are pretty quiet. Just be sure to remember that the prices go up after 21:00 on soi 33.

piano bars in some of the good hotels would be a good starting point, as bigdusa has already pointed out.
