1970 Ex-shoolboy Hermano Lobo now wearing loafers, 'Prince O Wales' cheque trousers and a Ben Sherman shirt tries to interest local DJ's in Reggae music.
No bugger wants to know.
Then along came Bob Marley!
Mick Jagger had him provide the music at his wedding reception.
The rest is history and everybody has heard of Reggae.
It's been a long time since those 'white-label' 45's.
What's Reggaeton?
I know Samba-Reggae but Reggaeton?

Bob Marley killed decent Jamaican music (sorry, only said that to Upset (ters) people).
Even the Pioneer youth club in Snorbans was *still* (after all it had been around for quite a while) playing blue beat and ska (and nascent reggae) in 1970.
Shepherds Bush? Perhaps you should have foresaken the West for the South. Plenty of Jamaican music there pre-BM.
