It's a mix of hi so wannabes, working girls, foreigners, and a few real hi so people. It's pretentious and the vibe there feels like California club so chances of an easy pickup aren't that good. You really have to hit the thai scene these days to get a real untarnished selection. Any place that has a "foreigner" presence tends to attract the working girls and golddiggers en mass. RCA is becoming like this too.

Q Bar is a better bet. There are plenty of easy going girls there and if you dont get lucky there are always plenty of freelancers.
Bed is very hit and miss and many people go there just to have a good time rather than 'pick up'. Q Bar is just a meat market.

I will third what those guys said. Bed is a good place to take some girls that you know, since it is not so cramped. I would not take a girl to Q, It is 90% working girls. Bed also has a higher cover charge some nights, so that keeps the working girls away. Last night their cover was 900 Baht. I agree that RCA is the place to go for any real thai girls. There seems to be a lot of Farangs going there these days also. Some of those girls at Q have the racket on ting tong Farangs, driving away in some nice BMWs that have been financed by a lot of other guys.

concured about the Bed. It's actually a novelty because of the setting. But I took my girl there last time, and even in the "dancing" room, it's hard to get up the vibes to dance. People mostly just stand there swaying a little but not really dancing. I think it's got something to do with the way the room is designed. To pick up freebie girls there is a low% thing, but not impossible if you are good looking, young and rich farang or thai upper class. Does that rule out 95% of the member of this board ?

Manowar, I agree. I think the best thing about BedSupperClub is the Beds (in the restaurant area). Its a good place to go for a chilled out drink. The Supper is a bit disappointing (the set menus particularly). The Club is ok and the music is often good but you might as well be in Q Bar probably having more fun and drinking better (or at least stronger!) cocktails.
Anyone been to the first one in Amsterdam (not same owners) ?

I've been to the Supperclub in Amsterdam. Not a bad place, but I prefer the one in BKK.
And for the original poster.. yeah Q is better for picking up women. But the chances that they are freelancers is higher. Have fun.

the one in BKK foolishly paid a franchise fee to the original one for the concept... having seen their biz plan (they were pitching for new investors) it seemed kind of unlikely they would make $$ out of it; assumptions like the average person drinks 2.5 drinks, and 1 out of every 5 people drinks 1 bottle of black and that counts as one drink...well I have been there twice and never saw even 1 out of every 6 people drinking 2.5 bottles of black in a night.....
The cost of the concept was big $$$; they should have just copied it
