One of people who I know wants to open a G-club in BKK and he is wondering many things. 1.How much would it cost? 2. what's the profit rate? sales a month and Net profit 3. salary for mamasan, waiters, dancers, waitress, sidelines, and so on 4. How supply alcohols? 5. Anything else. 6. Any advices? such as legal issues, gang issue or anything is welcomed. He is thinking of $300,000. Is it enough to open like Forte or The Pent sized G-club with similar number of workers (mamasangs, laides, etc included)

DrLove? What you mean by that? G-clubs are not profitable enough to make profits?

It's not how much you have. These kinda business in bangkok, it's who you know and how many Pol-Col you dine with weekly. If you don't understand the acronym, another good reason to stay away from it. Never mind a G-Club, even a moo-kah-ta (~79B buuffet) has gunfights over it. And entrepreunership is more than getting answers from a forum. Do keep the dreams alive though. Entrepreuneurs are still a rare breed. ;P

I don't how much it will be but within reasonable boundary.

What I think DrL is saying is: Finding a business model, [which is a conceptual tool that contains a set of elements and their relationships and allows expressing the business logic of a specific firm], won't be found on this forum. A description of the value a company offers to one or several segments of customers and of the architecture of the firm and its network of partners for creating, marketing, and delivering this value and relationship capital, to generate profitable and sustainable revenue streams is best left to the experts! What I mean is that if you're serious about starting a G Club ($300,000 is a very low and idiotic amount to start a club like Forte or so) you ask these questions and do research on other sources than BTF. Anyone who ask these questions here, is living proof of not being able to start a venture like this.

If you are that interested, last saw a vacant plot of pland along the soi of Resort Square. This area has a reputation already, if you can handle the competition, 300,000, assuming USD, can get you a long term lease and relevant permits. To start the contracting and construction works and interior design, start raising another 500,000. ;P

Got it. so $300,000 is a lame amount of money. Considering factorx's advice, he needs to have $800,000? At the moment, I don't know what his limit is. So, you bros think $800,000 would be enough? or he needs more? My another question is what is the breakeven period? In most cases if bars get popular the breakeven period is 6 ~ 12 months.

Tell your friend I have the necessary connections and can be employed for a mere US$200,000 per year. I will PERSONALLY check all the female employees VERY closely. Seriously now,, break even in 6-12 months,,,,you dream my friend. Break even point in reality must include a 8-10 % return on the initial investment as well as other major expenses including purchasing tickets to the weekly "Policemans Ball". Tell your mate to HANG, wait,,as with all investments what seems to be too good to be true IS 99% of the time. I have spent many many months,, no years looking into investments in Thailand that could lead me to a good income level whilst living there,,, I assure you it is not a simple thing. What is the best way to be a millionaire night-club owner in Thailand,,,???? Be a MULTI-millionaire to begin with. I persally, after years of investigation, have settled on a business in Isaan ( a farming business),, this may sound ludicrous but several factors are in my favour,,,, 1) The only major expense is land ( if purchased at a good price it is unusual to loose money on land). 2) Access to cheap labour 3) Researched product that is popular in Thailand. 4) Knowledge of product and its vagraties ( spelling?? ) that exceeds Thai knowledge. 4) No Police kick-backs necessary. 5) Ready made local market for product. 6) Simple system to replacate in other areas. 7) Possible expansion to include export ( I dream ) but a possibility. Cheers
