I’d like to get some ideas of the best places to find freelancers. After being here a few years I’ve tried the mainstream and off the beaten path. And gf’s and gigs. Now have a regular gf but she’s OK that I have a little fun from time to time when she’s upcountry. For me the best it seems is a good freelancer – of course she cuts hair or is a student by day. If you meet the girl in the bar then there’s always her work schedule, bar fines and other issues. And I’m not big for sitting in a bar anyway.
My favorite girl I met in Nana parking lot and is super cute, fun to have dinner with, if we want hit a club, maybe with friends then a visit to a short time hotel to top the evening off. She’s not over-booked so most times I make a call in the afternoon and have a date that night. The only issue is she’s really a starfish who the moment you’re finished she up and answering her mobile that has been ringing the whole time.
I met another in the parking lot who met the cute requirements, showed some promise to be fun but wasn’t what I want in bed either.
Then I tried the Soi 7 Bier Garden – found someone who sure wasn’t cute but she did have a crooked tooth & smile combo that was winning. She was just fine in bed but just too full figured for my taste. Too bad because she was sweet, appreciative of a nice dinner out and fun in bed. Tried there again and really think this place is mostly full of old and not so good looking. Maybe I should try more but it seems better selection at Nana.
So I went an looked at Hard Rock but it’s hard to imagine fishing there. I guess one would have to be patient.
The girl from Bier Garden was a nice fresh off the boat – helping in her aunts clothing stall in the market. I almost wonder where the best place to go to find girls who are thinking about going freelance or working in a bar.
So that’s my little history.

Thermae, under Ruamchit Hotel near Sukhumvit soi 15, approx. 11pm to 2am
Angels disco in Nana Hotel, Sukhumvit soi 4, approx. 11pm to 2am
Hard Rock Cafe (ground floor has freelancers), 7pm to 2am
Vibrations disco (mixed mainstream and freelancers) under Novotel Siam Square, approx. 10pm to 2am
Spasso, under Erawan Hotel, has some "hi-class" freelancers in the mix, 7pm to 2am
King's Lounge discotheque in Patpong, from around 11pm to 2am
Country Road, end of Soi Cowboy on soi 21 side, 9pm to 2am
Grace Hotel, soi 3, 10pm to 2am
I’ve also heard Lumpini and Siam Hotel.
What are the best places to find freelancers? I’m not into looking in the late hours however since I am looking for someone to come when I call if I make the first connection that’s OK. Want young for sure. Prefer less experienced and less jaded. I speak enough Thai so fresh to the scene is OK for me.

Whoa, lets delete Spassos from that list. Unless your idea of a quality freelancer is average TG with a lot of makeup who is her mid-30's will ask for 5K ST. If this place wasnt connected to a hotel, this place would have closed years ago. AVOID.
Go to BED nightclub on hip hop night there are alot of cute TG's.

Other places... outside Robinson Soi 17, or outisde Nai Lert Building between soi 3/1 and soi 5... lots of ladyboys. You may also find a handful outside Pacific Place Buidling.
In the mornings, McDonald's at Robinson may have a few as well.
If you are lucky, you could find them at 7/11s. If you are lucky...
Siam Hotel girls go usually for
THB 2,000 ST and THB 4,000 LT.
When the did the prices go up? Thought it was 1,500 B and 3,000 B respectively.

Thanks everyone for so much advice.
Tonight I tried Gulliver’s. Never been there before. First off I remembered Soi 7 (which isn’t correct) then I compounded that mistake by first walking down 7/1 or what ever is downstream of Soi 7. You know the soi with Eden. That is not a soi you want to talk up and down a few times looking for someplace. Must fight off major ladyboy attack.
Then I find Soi 7 for real and I’m back at the Bier Garden and I can’t resist a peek in – scary. I go down that little alley up to Soi 5 but figure “no not here” even though the fricking place is blinking right above me. So I find an i-café, get the right info and land my butt at Guliver’s.
As I’m settling in with a beer and ordering food I’m also seeing what’s on the menu around me. Only one a little interesting. I’m thinking about food and watching for awhile. Fifteen minutes later she walks by me – oh my God one of those super tiny that I go for just walked out. But I figure lighting has to strike twice somewhere. Maybe not.
A some point I motion some so-so girl over at least to practice my Thai. She’s OK. Her friend comes soon and we all chat. I ask where they work and they say Import Export company and I say where and she asks her friend “where?”. The decide it’s on Soi 11. It’s good they have their story straight – but it’s like making sausage – you don’t want to see how it’s made. They are both over 30 and won’t be exact beyond that. Sorry that beyond a line I don’t cross – I’ve got morals and they keep me below that line. Anyway why go with someone who could be by gf’s mother (that’s a joke for the dimwits in the audience). I pick up the tab of 600+ and walk over to Nana parking lot.
I’m in a tired and picky mood. Ten minutes later I grab a cab and go home. Here I am. Call the gf and say goodnight.
Tomorrow another free night I’ll try something different. I should be more specific: where are the best freelancers who are young with hard tiny bodies??? 1000, 2000, whatever… Where should I go? And I have to catch an early flight Saturday to go upcountry to see the gf so don’t want someplace happening at 2AM. OK I'm hard to please but come on - this is Bangkok.
A night like this is what makes a man stick with is gf.
