Homely is right on the girls at the KOSA before 6pm..I had three different ones sent up to the room and finally could not bare to send another back so finally kept the third one..but had I waited till later I could have chosen a nice one from the bowl..I've been lucky in Khon Kaen at different venues but if not for luck would have been screweed without someone showing me the way. But I do like the city and am sure spending some time there would reap rewards.

I just spent 4 nights in Khon Kaen.
First, for really good Italian food, Pomodoros. It's just to the left of the Pullman. For really good grilled chicken in the morning hours, the Kosa Hotel has a place right out in front. And Central Plaza is a pretty good mall.
I read papayaman's comment about cost. One place I found that should be within everyones budget is the small alley off of Thepharak Road. It is the first alley to the right if you are going north from SI Chan Rd. 500 baht a shot, you can do it there or take away, not sure of the take away cost. many of the girls were pretty good looking and on the lower side of the age spectrum.
I visited all the massage parlours and banged chicks at the Kosa and Villa. The Villa is worth going to just for how dirty, in a good way, it is. I took an 1000 baht lady who really knew her job, which she should as she has been there for 15 years. The Kosa had much better looking girls, which accounts for the 2300 baht price. The girl there was great, I don't have a number but she is the only one that smiled.
I went to one other massage place that was next to the Chaiphat Hotel. 300 baht for a massage, and 1000 for the sex. It too was pretty sleazy so I liked it.
