or ask what time Blonk arrived and what day of the week. Could be ozzie pissed time and Udon time did not match. Have to give Blonk credit for finding the place. If you are farang and do not know Barra and find jingjoes the beer should be free..the first nite! I had directions and took a couple of passes to find it.

Soapy Places don't open until 12, as stated before talent limited (early shift) and gets better after 5PM.
Soi 2 is possible, but mainly opens around 4-5PM and hoping around 7PM.
Soi 7 is always open for business.
Soi across from CAT, starts early 10AM (not all houses open) and by 12PM all the houses have their doors open.

MYSTERY SOLVED!!!
I decided to call Barrafish and get the real skinny.
He has closed the Jingjo's Bar down and now owns a bar called...  ... Ozzie Burger Bar.
It is located next to the day/night market and is in a group of bars off the Nutty Park car park and is beside Mr. Tong's Night Club.
He is open from 1300 to about 2200 daily and is now serving pizza as well as his tasty burgers.
I apologize for not being able to provide this information earlier but didn't bother to call him and verify anything.
PS: I wonder what he did with all those 6 foot yellow kangaroos?

Thankyou XPC for alerting me to this and your directions are pretty well spot on. The local Council decided all of my 6 foot kangaroo signs would look better in their compound, so the public could not see them.
Without good advertising, no one would have found Jingjoes, hence I closed it after 3 years. The new manager lasted 6 weeks and now closed again for perhaps a very long time.
Moving into the CBD area is a lot better all round. We are in an area which has a few bars and fairly good food outlets. As XPC said we are now doing pizzas, thick, greasy, full of materials the dieticians like.
The new joint is 'Aussie Burger Bar' and I am there most of the time.

Hotel Bars/karoke? discos? short-time rooms? massage place? Any escort agencies there now?
Last time I was there about 2 years ago, the cyclo driver in front of the hotel took me to one of those short-time room places, the ones with the curtains to hide your car. They had some Lao girls there but it was a bit too dodgy for me.
I usually stay at that big hotel next to Robinsons.

As promised a field report for Udorn, but so far not so encouraging.
Napalai hotel piano bar is very quiet. I was the only one there between 7 - 8 PM. Went back about 10:30 and there were a couple of tables with people, one a farang man and wife (tourists) and another an older farang (tourist I think) with 3 older ladies, who didn't appear to be ladies of the night and also were not below 40yo. That downstairs area was closed off and completely dark. Maybe this place livens up on the weekends but I'll be long gone by then.
I also walked around that street where the Irish clock is located and had a few beers here and there and at that huge Day & Night place, but generally didn't see anything that attracted me (who wasn't already attached to some guy's arm). A couple of the bar maids were real lookers. To me it appeared kind of like a lower quality soi cowboy, but tamer. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe I only needed a few more beers.
On the second trip to the Napalai at about 10:30PM, I stopped and had a beer at an outdoor beer bar nearby called "Wow" that had a live band. The crowd was pretty small, less than 20, and I was the only farang there. I liked a couple of the Leo girls but didn't try to make a move on them. The table next to me had a couple of 20 something aged Thai males who were talking with the Leo girls about the farang at the next table not realizing I speak Thai and I got the impression that I should mind my manners with the girls there. When I left I asked for my bill and made a point of asking them about the bill and operating hours, what nights they have bands, etc.. all in Thai so the guys at the next table could hear it all. Anyway that place is probably not for the middle-aged single farang. And the girls there were probably not available anyway.
I'll check-out the high-tech place tonight.
I'm guessing I'll end up with a Tuk Tuk driver as my guide.
