I now am stationed in jakarta. Most companies in Jakarta right now have moved their employees out of the Park Lane hotel. There have been threats against it since it is a "western" hotel. My company moved me from there to the Shangri La.
Tanamur is absolute crap these days.
Tigah Puluh is not the hot spot in Jakarta you might think. You must have had a lucky night. That place is dead for the most part these days.
(as far as payment for the girls.... 250,000 is very low end anywhere in town for an all nighter. 300,000 is the normal rate. Then you can give more if you really liked the service. 250,000 would be a good hint to the girl she didnt perform up to par if that is the statement you want to make.) (Even the girls just standing in the streets will be looking for 300,000. That rate is also paid by the local indonesians working in the offices in middle class jobs, not only the "bules".)
BATS is also not so good right now. Which is unfortunate because I am staying in that hotel. The guys normally outnumber the girls and the girls are older. There are a few gems. But you can find a "few" gems anywhere. I do go in there almost every night just out of convenience and drag one back to the room on a regular basis. But I'd rather go elsewhere.
The best places to go are Stadium, CJ's, Millenium, D's place early and My Bar late. Lintas Melawai is dead.

Greetings all,
I have really appreciated all the info posted here abt Jakarta. It was a BIG help when my first trip there was approaching last October. There seems to be a shortage of internet discussion about the place...
So anyway, now I am relocating to Jakarta. Two years in Bangkok was enough, time for a different asian flavor. I am stateside at the moment, but will be heading out Oct 1. I'll try and answer any inquiries about the place that anyone may have.
My housing is a good (secure) location, real close to the JW Marriott! But that means just a short hop to BlokM and central to all the decent hotel clubs..

Well it looks like I did not pay enough in Jakarta (actually gave both girls 400K, the 250K figure was what was offered earlier in the night) and had a good time without going to the right places. As was said by LFL, I was probably lucky at Tigah Puluh on both a Wednesday & Thursday night. Have never been to the Stadium but will definetly look at CJ's, Millenium, D's place on my next visit!

just coming from jakarta!
tiga puluh was okay but not so good as in previous visits, still my best choice would be cj.
first time I have been to d's place and my bar in blok m. both places good but the quality there is more comparable to the old lintas melawei, so not really my taste.
jj's and tanamur are dead. actually the first time in all my jakarta visits I didn't really wanted to score anything. the quality was to poor, may be I was only a bit oversexed already as flying in from manila and angeles city!

Nice D.... ok, since it's about Jakarta, one can also try the place in Jalan Krekot Raya, it's a hotel / sauna / p4p scene called Central. It's something like Crowne or Stadium but it's a little bit more expensive, and - in my opinion - the girls are also quite better. Some uzbeks/turkmens are also there.
But my favourite haunts in Jakarta are the "normal" pubs (locals call them kafe).... Hard Rock Cafe type but locals - there are plenty in Kemang area, also now in Citos in South Jakarta. The girls are FL's, unis or working a dayjob mostly and if they like you you can go scot free... But of course, when I go there I tend to speak their language - maybe it helps. Pisa Kafe in Menteng, Tiga Puluh, and Styx are the pubs I most often was succesful. Erm, there are good girls in CJ's but they are damn expensive and too "commercial" if you know what I mean.
It's been about 3 months since I was last there, and probably that's the best place to go to try to forget my TGF....

Hi guys............back from Jkt. Had a grand time, as usual.
Speaking of Classic Hotel in Krekot, this was earlier known as Buana. The owner went bankrupt in gambling and the hotel was closed for a couple of years or so. Been one of my fav hotels as SOMEHOW my beloved HP tends to go dead there. No signal.
The rate's pretty reasonable too. Checked in with my gf there in July and paid 205K using her KTP, where as for foreigners it's a cool 250K. Still aint bad.
Tried again this time, but they said hotel "penuh" took up Golden, which is just a minute's drive away and 270K with BF.
Happened to see a very large number of well made up chinese women in Golden and curiousity got the better of me. They all seemed to emerge from a dark room which was approx 1800-2000 sq. ft. area and laced with over 100 slot (digital) machines. Lo & be hold! A casino........
So, whilst the men are working hard at losing their hard earned money.........the girls are expected to be at their side, standing. Light their cigarettes, listem to their "aduh"s when they've lost yet another round..........basically second grade humans.
Checked the reason with my gf for Classic being full and she pointed out to the casino. Mostly in-hotel guests who like to gamble. Since Bualan puasa (Ramadan) is just around the bend, the hard core gamblers would like to play that illusive "LAST" round so they dont feel tempted again in the holy month.
Never been interested in gambling, took mate to my room and showed her the tid-bits (auite a few of 'em) I got for her from Dubai.
All in all, had a gr8 time.
