I've never done either and probably never will, mostly because I don't choose a girl on looks alone, I like the party buddy experience (NOT Girl Friend Experience, thank you very much), so I like a few HOURS of conversation ideally before I make my choice...
Obviously, this means I don't do gogos much either...pretty much a bar beer/diddle bar kinda guy, haha...oh yeah, and freelancers in the right venue too...

I'm still rather inexperienced with soapies since I haven't bothered going to one in Japan yet but while they are fun I'd much rather the HJ massage with the option to get more if the girl really likes you. I get these all the time in Japan and the excitement level is much higher, for me at least.
That being said, I still plan on going back to Amsterdam on my next trip...which starts in about an hour.

@vox, try it at least once, but choose your girl based on your instinct. Choose the one that feels goods, not on how good she looks, and create the rapport with her on the way up to the room, and f*** her brains out the moment the maid brings in her basket of goodies. That's your mission should you choose to accept it.

One other problem with soapies is the prevalence of covered BJs. On the other hand, the "models" can only be found in in soapies, with predictably poor performance...
I think soapies are fine for a fantasy f***, a good cleaning, or for tourists who want a safe experience.
Oilies are for real f***ing. But I don't care for the oil part, so I usually wave that off and go straight to the sex.

I'm a straight oily man based on the location/convenience of the oilys, less pomp & circumstance, and the pornstar experience. Not to say it's impossible at the soapies, 3 of my all time favs were soapy girls. If you get really lucky at a soapy and find the right girl, she will be worth hanging onto, less drama, less drinking, and definitely knows how to take care of a man.
