Not a newbie to LOS but does anybody know the dates or water war in BKK and then on to P-Town. I know BKk is usually traditional and P=Town goes off after so gulttens for punisiment can get both! Thanks for any help. I'm guessing that 13-15 in BKK and then 15-19 in P-Town!

When in Pattaya during this period you will get soaking wet, you will have powder dumped on you, you will be tied up in traffic, you will be miserable before the week is over.
Put all your money, cigarettes,papers, etc. in a baggy to keep them water safe, wear old clothes as most of them will have to be thrown away after the festivities, keep a sense of humor 24 hours daily and, if you get knocked down by a firetruck driving by hosing down people, just get up and smile.
Have a nice time.

Patong is wet but only for one day and that evening. some Sois close and others don't alow water and powder. Many hotels have some good events planned inside for dry and they are set up to alow play water on the outside. I've been in BKK, P-Town, and Patong and I will say the the big difference is how aggressive the players are over the three areas. Patong, as always, is more mellow and less agressive. And, as always, I prefer Patong.
The big transition from BKK to P-Town is a miving water fight on the non toll roads etc!
