I have to concur - this is probably a wind-up, maybe from the same guy who asked about what color shirt and what kind of gold chain he should wear to impress girls.
Anyone with a real background in the martial arts wouldn't be asking such silly questions about professional muay thai.

Real muay thai is a street fight.

Are you really worried about the Soi dogs?
Don't be worried, the Soi dogs are Buddhists,
they want to be reincarnated as a higher form of
life so they are very gentle and non-aggressive.
All kidding aside, the soi dogs aren't like mean
killer strays, I don't think you need to worry about them.

Hey, TW, I think it's a great idea that you want to get into the ring with some Thai boxers, and do some sparring - top idea!!!
Please do us all a favor, and let us know when this is going to happen - we'll be sure to be in the audience, cheering - and since there will be a lot of us, the organizer can be assure of some nice extra revenue from all the farang come to cheer. What a great idea - I can't wait for this to happen. Heck, I'd fly in JUST to see this, if you give me a few days' warning ahead of time.

Regarding all of your other concerns:
Water: drink bottled whenever and wherever you can, though one thing I found to be helpful is bring along a 10 day supply of cipro, and take it prophylactically during your trip. You have no germs to worry about, then - just make sure to stay out of the sun, and stay away from alcohol (that last part is very near impossible for most BTFers).
A/C adapters - in most hotels, you will find hybrid plugs that acomodate both type of plugs, including American. Just make sure your electric items are rated for 110v *AND 220V. If they are only 110V, you are sure to fry them.
Soap and Shampoo - if you are capable of going to a 7-11, or a boots, or other department store, you should be able to procure what you need. If you can't handle going shopping, you shouldn't be travelling.
Laundry: Most hotels will do your laundry overnight, or with a rush charge faster. Hotels will charge a lot more than most laundry places located in the streets around your hotel. When in doubt, ask one of the girls you will befriend. Laundry services are cheap.
Cash: Take only as much as you need, but I found budgeting, on average, $125 per diem works out just fine, everything included.
Beggars/louts/etc...: Just ignore them, do not make eye contact, do not smile, do not even pretend to be friendly. When some guys approach you in the street asking you what country you are from, all friendly like, just say you are from Laos.
Stray dogs are no, and of no, concern. You should learn to like dogs - most are better than most humans.
You can find lube in barious stores, but just bring your own.
