Great way to spend Christmas.
Oh yes and it is not bone chilling cold.

coolest,,,, as in not as stinking bloody firey red, swet inducing, tormenting, suffocating heat. ( mostly found around month April)
Still expect 28-32 Celsius most days around BKK Hua-hin, but go up northern Isaan way ( Loei) and maybe over-night zero

Gentlemen clubs and go gos are full of Thai and Japanese guys spending their year end bonuses in December. Best bet is to go to Chiang Mai where Christmas is no big deal and end up in Bangkok for New Years.

Also, bar fines are at a premium on Xmas and New Years. Expect to pay up to 1000 baht for b/f -- it's an inducement to keep the ladies in the clubs just a tad longer, so I'm told by the ladies.

Yep, have been told the same as BB - so if they want the night off they have to "pay bar" for themselves. Taking the week off and going home to the village is just out of the question for most at these rates.
I paid a 2k BF on NYE a couple of years ago, the BF was normally 500, but doubled to 1k between 24th and 30th and doubled again for the 31st. My TG mentioned she'd also get a bonus for the month since she had over 25 BF's for the month. Talk about peak season.

I was talking with another forum member about shopping for Christmas presents at breakfast Tuesday. My TGF was talking to his current squeeze, but I know she always listens to any other conversation.
She suddenly interrupted her conversation to ask me what I was going to buy her for Christmas. I said nothing, because she is Buddist. If she converted to Christianity I would consider a Christmas gift. She thought for a moment and then said "how about Songkran?".
A water gun, so I can squirt you with water was my response. She stopped asking.
