i remember a funny email I got asking why blacks are called coloured
when a white person is cold they go blue
hot - they go red
scared - go white
sick - yellow
bruised - black and blue
etc
whereas "coloured" people just stay black

Off the subject of the thread a little bit, but...
...my black relatives think of themselves as black and they are proud to be black. They take offence at being called coloured as they think that lumps them in with the asian indians & other ethnic groups. Yes I know that makes them racist. I know also they play the race card whenever it suits them ('you is only picking on me 'cos I is black', etc).

Bit confused here. Why didn't bootydaddy5 just state his ethnicity? Instead of referring to himself as mixed? And his shade of skin color?
I think ethnicity is more of a differentiator for TG preferences than skin color.
South Asian or Middle Eastern may be more of an issue than being of Black/White mix.
If he is "light brown asian colour" and is of Southeast Asian or East Asian mix, then there should be no problem. If that color is the result of a South Asian or Middle Eastern mix, then yes there may be some discrimination.

This has all got confusing,

I have heard of discrimination, and I don't wanna get rejected in any bars/clubs thats all there is to it.
Yes I should have been more clear, i'm english born and bred with half middle eastern backround.
Had no problems on my first trip, but going solo this time

Most of the time there is no problem. If you have money, there is no problem. I am indian. In some go go bars they will tell me members only. I will simply slip two 20 bahts and tell them that I am a member now. And no problem.
One "bouncer" even asked me 100 baht for the "so called" membership. The guy was greedy but I paid. What the heck. Only US$ 2.50 (US$ 3 now).
If you already take a girl from one of these bars, treat her nicely (in fact treat every body nicely). My trick is to buy her a 100 baht phone card as soon as you come out of the bar. She will appreciate it and think you have the biggest heart.
Once you know a girl in one these bars, just mention her name when they stop you and you will be ok. They will take you to her. No problem.
Hey, that is the fact. Indians have bad reputation. I cannot do any thing about that but I cannot ruin my vacation due to their silliness. I can spend a few extra dollars to make things smooth because I have the money.

Off topic here, but you stole my method bro 
I am all about dropping by 7/11 or whatever to buy a beer or condoms etc and asking "what kind of phone card do you use?" or something like that....
Then pick up like a 300baht card and give it to her as I pop my beer open. That trick is gold and they do think you are Jai Dee Teesoot from the get go, yes a simple phone card
