Same reason as ATL I don't play anymore (Thai wife with access to bladed items)....I just visit bars to drink or watch the show and it sometimes takes a couple of refusals before a girl will believe that (3000 baht - no thanks - okay, 2000 - mee thai wife, jing, no thank you - Ahh..(pause)..you buy me drink?) - so I agree with Quack Quack's assessment, that "these ladies charge on the perceived frustration of a punter"....though staying calm after 4 years away would be beyond most of us. funny how once you get a Thai wife you live in fear of bladed items !
It's the sixth sense, the ability to smell you when you walk in the room from a simple trip to the store, to the ability to know if you have cum sometime during the day...... uncanny........
There is a vise-like grip Thai women place on you after you commit to them that is like nothing a Western women can do........

The yellow fever is clearly clouding your judgment, that and maybe the fact that western young women tend to stick to their age bracket leaving you with very little to play with (no disrespect intended here).
I am only 30 but have had a lot of girlfriends both in the west (France, Italy, Germany, USA) and in LOS, what I found is that there is only 1 lady (so far) in Thailand that can measure up (sex-wise) to what some of the western girls could do. This lady is miss Poo (former Tulip girl).

IMHO the most successful ingredient that a Thai woman brings to a marriage with a farang is not sex but genuinely low overall expectations. You are a man; you are expected to behave badly now and then, so when you do, it’s no big deal.
Sure, there are cultural similarities and a perceived comfort factor in being married to a fellow farang but (since we are all victims of our own experiences) you won’t get the laidback “mai bpen lai” attitude…..far from it…..laidback? No….attitude? Yep, plenty of it….anybody ever tried discussing esoterics’ with a farang woman who is not talking to you for three days just because you left the toilet seat up again?
Tension. You have no idea. Glad I can forget about it. It's forgotten. No long term harm done. Really I am much better now. (Sobs uncontrollably). End.

here, here...(man we are way off BG prices, but while we are...here I go...)
this is my first marriage and hopefully my only, but I have had several long term relationships and when I was living in BKK and went into a hair salon and met mrs atl, a farm girl from Phitzanolok, things were different.
I aint saying I know everything, and shit could change several years down the road...but I do know one thing..she puts up with my shit like no farang girl ever has done...
of course, she is jealous like no other woman I have been with but thats her culture..she gives you all and expects the same in return...
but as Minder alluded to, when we go to Thailand she gives me a hall pass and doesnt ask questions...and in return I cover my bases, and all is good...
my last farang gf (4 years) was probably the best sex I have ever had and I could discuss politics etc, but deep down at heart she was a bitch....and now that I am older and realize sex is a minor part of a relationship I am happy to come home to a woman that loves me unconditionally and embrasses all my downfalls..
and I will add is pretty hot

maybe the issue was not where you have been, but how deep you have sunk into their culture.
I have found that the longer I stay in the village, the more I learn. Of course staying in the village is like watching grass grow or paint dry, but day to day life sinks in a bit and things become clear.
