Unfortunately, I have seen a few elephants in the tourist areas of BKK, but you will not be able to get a ride there. You will have to take a day trip for that, way outside of Bangkok.
I would reconsider and concentrate on getting laid. You can always buy some tourist photos, or maybe some of the members can give you some.

First, thanks for working in support of our country.
Don't prepay your hotel, it is low season, you can come and go how you please.
I suggest going down to Pattaya for a few days or a week while you are there, the air is clearer, everything is way cheaper (compared to BKK, you'll probably save 1000 baht/day on hotel and 1000/baht a day on girls). There is an elephant camp about 5 km east of Tesco Lotus. There is also a Tiger Zoo in Si Ratcha about 20-30 mins away. Have a TG go with you.
Koh Larn is an island 40 mins by boat away (ferry is 20-30 baht). A fun day.
You can buy all the tourist crap you want at Mike's Mall.

hahah that sounds awesome, how far away is pattaya from BKK?
a tiger zoo sounds pretty crazy but I already reserved my room at president solitaire, I think I might need to check on the cancellation policy.
i'm really looking to be pampered hotel wise because.. sleeping on a floor with NO a/c is just not cutting it right now.
i need like a tour guide of some sort hahaha
