Extremely unlikely in one of the bars in Nana or Cowboy if you avoid the ladyboy bars. Even as a complete newbie, I would know the difference between a bar full of ladyboys and a bar full of ladies.

Well I have done it.... I have booked and paid for my airfares to Thailand. My first ever holiday (which DIDN'T involve visiting family hehehe).
Ok so... my flight arrives at 6:30am local time on the 7th and leave at 9:30pm on the 23rd. Now I just need to fill that time with girls, tourist sights & sounds, girls, food, girls, girls, beer, more girls, some sleep, girls.....etc.. you get the drift.
My basic plan is to stay in Bangkok for 4 days (the 10th), then down to Pattaya for a few days for then back to Bangkok (20th) for a couple more days before flying out. I'll most likely change these travel dates as I learn more on which has the better action (Bangkok or Pattaya)
At the moment, I don't know which Hotel I am staying at in Bangkok**, I am searching and reading all I can from the forums here (must be girl friendly)
The first night I will book a tour with Dr Love's world famous (or BKKTonite forum famous a least hehe) tour to get a layour of the land. I haven't booked it in yet untill I know where I am staying.

Things I'd like to do in Bangkok are...
A1 A good way to get to my hotel from the airport **
A2 A girl friendly hotel (nothing too fancy) **
A3 Eden Club.... ummmm maybe not the FIRST thing I would do... I'll have to warm up to it, maybe my 2nd to last ot last day at Bangkok before moving down to Pattaya. Then if it is as mind blowing as they say, I'll come again when I am in Bangkok again before my flight home.
A4 Star Of Light... I have heard so many stories I HAVE to try it, I mean a BJ at a bar?!?! Plus any other type of bar where you will encouter things nowhere alse ** (remember I am a Aussie, living in a Counrty City, so anything other then a bar with beer is new to me hehehe)
A5 A oil/soap massage (place unknown, still searching the forums **)
A6 May as well spend some time taking photos of scenic places, to show the family at home where I went (well the ones who DON'T know the main reason for my trip hehehehe)
A7 Basicly every night end up at least one ST or LT (Maybe a ST during the day) So I end each night with a bang hehee.
One thing I am looking for is a street map of the city, which includes where all the hots spots are. I can find maps here of local streets, but it is meaningless to me if I don't know where thoes streets are in the city (north, south, east or west of the city centre etc...) **

Things I'l like to do in Pattaya are....
B1 The good way to get from Bangkok to my hotel in Pattaya and back to Bangkok. **
B2 A girl friendly hotel ** (BKK Tonite has a good list of Bangkok girl friendly hotels but no listing for Girl friendly hotels in Pattaya). At the moment the only one I know of is Shagwell (mainly becouse I know the owner who did some Art videos which I edited), but I don't know if it is any good.
B3 Spend some time at a scenic beach (I hear the water is something to avoid)
B4 The same as A6
B5 The Same as A7
I heard that Dr Love also has a Pattaya tour, I don't know if he moves from Bangkok to Pattaya during the week though.

** Means surggestions are greatly needed (and before you ask, yes I have the Search function, for example searching for Girl Friendly hotels in Pattaya comes up with next to nothing)
Anyway I hope To get some help or pointers, since it is my first trip overseas it is a little overwelming. I still hasen't sunk in yet that I am going (even though I have already shelled out $$$$ for the airline tickets)
I hope I don't get too many flames. I am setting up a Webpage with my scedule, which will change the closer I get to my trip (I may even let members here edit it - it is a wiki page)
And who know maybe I can meet fellow members on my trip :D
*EDIT* Opps just found the Hotels section in the Pattaya part of the forum, reading them now.

I am not sure what the fellow members will say to my suggestion but if you find a cutie that you dig in Pattaya...I would take the short ride over to Ko Samet for a night or two for some chill time.
It being your first time in Thailand you may want to have it wall to wall banging....but you have 15 or 16 full day/nights and the islands in Thailand are frekin amazing. Pattaya is certainly a fun town but the beaches leave alot to be desired if you enjoy that type of thing. MHO!!!!!
If you do decide to take my suggestion...just be sure not to fall in love 
Have fun...you sound like an ideal canidate to have your mind blown (in a good way)

Nakaleen,,,Firstly you should not claim to be an Australian when you live in Victoria,, you are Mexican as you are South of the border,,,JOKE mate.
I really don't like Pattaya so I won't comment there.
In BKK I STRONGLY suggest you try to book Swiss Grottino, this is a very nice hotel ( 110% girl friendly) and the location is great for access to the main two areas of fun, being Soi Cowboy and Soi Nana. Remember one of the biggest obstacles in your pleasure hunting is TRAFFIC,,, YES traffic that would equate to the whole town of Ballarat trying to go opposite directions down a one-way street.

This map shows the location,,, you are a few hundred metres from Soi Cowboy, a short walk to the "sky train" to go the one stop down to Nana and or Eden club.
On arrival, to make it easy, as you leave the customs area turn left, continue on ignoring the "touts" offering cheap this and that and you take the exit and find a ramp that leads to a booth that hires taxi's,, tell them Hotel name and all taken care of.
For Star of Light, once again your enemy is TRAFFIC,, so time this trip to avoid the worst traffic ( 5pm - 9 pm).It would probably be an excellent lunch-time special.
Soapies,,, the best value ones are in a collection on a road called Rachadapisek,, not that far away from Sukumvit but once again TRAFFIC. For this one wait until you have settled in for a few days and get a bit more comfortable with the chaos that is BKK, study a sky-train and under ground map and its not that hard to get there and back. ( Personally I take a motorbike taxi, but others in this forum think they are dangerous).
Do make sure you take the Dr Love tour and also stop in at the Toxic bar to say hi to "Ring the Bells"

I'm going to suggest the Majestic Suites hotel in Bangkok. It's clean and comes with breakfast in the AM. Of course, most of us sleep through until lunch. Slightly more upscale would be the Majestic Grande. Both are located close to Nana BTS and the Nana bars. Very girl friendly. Just my two cents.
Would nix ATL's suggestion on taking a girl for two days to Ko Samet strictly because this is your first visit. Bang as many girls as possible and don't take any chances on getting attached. I could see this happening after spending two days with a hot chick. You might get taken for a ride. We all have stories so just be carefull.
Above all have a GREAT time.
