Electricity will probably be the most expensive part of the utilities bill. Depending on your air-cond usage, you could easily chalk up between 2,000-5,000 B. Water is fairly cheap, 150-250 B.
Watch out for the phone bill, some apartments force you to use their internal system, and may charge you 1 B/min. Some may give you your own direct line, and you pay what is charge by TOT which is only 100+ B per month plus whatever you use. If you are on ADSL, you may not use the phone line for dial up apart from the occasional phone call, in which case, your phone bill will be about 100+ B.

you could rent a room by the month at Penny Black, right on Soi cowboy. I used to stay there a few weeks at a time. The only problem is that the nightlife hits you every time you walkoutof the room an dit can be a bit noisy, but you can't beat the location if you want a party place for a while.
