Uh....actually, I am going to say that a soapie MP is your best value for the dollar, though Eden take-out is also a very compelling option. That said, the all-time best bargain in Bangkok is the Star of Light, if you are just looking to bust a nut and move on with life.
At a soapie, you can walk in, make a selection from the tank immediately, and go directly upstairs to conduct your business with a very nice girl. No need to hang out, no need to buy drinks, no need to buy lady drinks. No need to pay for a ST room....and tips to the papasan are optional. If you do not plan to return, you can skip the tip. If you plan to return, it is good policy to make a friend of the papasan, as he can advise you which girls will indulge your preferred perversion.
If the girl provides a good service, then by all means, you should tip her.
Another member recently posted that he paid around 1800-1900 all-in at Mirage, which is my favorite MP. Even with a respectable 500 baht tip to the girl, you are still coming in under 2500 baht, which is pretty decent. And you will be very, very clean, afterwards.
By way of comparison....pulilng a BG from Nana or Soi Cowboy will run you whatever you pay for drinks at 110-120 baht per pull....at least one lady drink at approximately 120 baht....a possible tip to the mamsan (call it 100-200 baht)....a 500-700 baht bar fine....then 300-500 for a ST room....then 1500 to 2000 for a hit or miss episode with the girl. Then you get to pay a tip, and you definitely should show some class and give her some taxi money, if nothing else, no matter how badly that she sucked (pun intended).
So, for a BG...all-in...you are looking at a least 2500, and if the girl sucks, you have to go all the way back to the bar, find the mamasan, and complain. At a soapie, you go downstairs, pull the papasan off to the side, and rectification is much easier.
Aside from this....probably the best value, bar-none, is take-out from Eden. For 3,000 all-in, you know that the girl will hoover your cock with extreme competence, she will take it up the ass, and she will generally deliver a no-bullshit, no-holes barred experience.
With a soapie, you can talk to the papasan, but it is a toss-up if there are even any girls in the tank or on the sideline who will take it up the ass, or even deep throat your cock. And you will pay more for a chick who lets you plunder her butt. Say 500 baht to 1,000 baht more.
At a go-go....you need to have a frank conversation with the mamasan ahead of time...lest you get your chosen lovely back to the scene of the crime and find that she declines to eat your cock, and flat-out refuses anything but cowgirl or missionary straight intercourse, with ass-play completely off the menu. And again, you will pay a premium for an ass-f***ing.
With Eden take-out, you know exactly what you are getting. If you take two chicks, you know that they will eat each other's pussies, and will display total professionalism at all times. They know their business, those girls.
With the soapies, you have the advantage of selection. There are a lot of soapies, and there are a lot of girls working in them, so finding one with a girl who makes your dick move is mathematically a sure thing.
At Eden, there are fewer stunners, though with time and experience you learn that other factors like experience, and sheer horniness, sometimes trump mere appearance.
All this aside, you can just go to the Star of Light and get very competent head on the premises for 500-700 baht, period, though I think that it would be a bit rude not to buy at least a couple of drinks. When I go there, I buy drinks for everything on two legs in the vicinity, and my bill has never exceeded 1500-1700 baht, and that includes blowing a load deep in the throat of my chosen service professional.

The cost of a bar girl or go-go girl varies quite a bit, and as mentioned by others includes drinks, barfine and whatever is negotiated. The negotiated rate varies quite a bit from one BG to the next.
The cost of soapy is about 2500 - 3000 baht including tip (500 baht). Most are for 90 minutes.
The cost of an oil massage with FS (no winking is required, just say yes when asked about the special) is 2300 baht (800 + 1500 tip). FS always includes nude, but if you only get a HJ (500) or BJ (1000) then that usually does not include nude (although maybe topless). The 800 baht massage is for 2 hours, but if you don't really want a massage for at least part of that time, then it may not be of interest to you. I find that a good massage and good FS are enjoyable together.
Probably the best bargain is a freelancer, but they usually have more miles on them, and are slightly more risky in terms of disease or other problems.
The difference in cost of the above options is negligible for most people. What is more important is finding the right TG, which can be trial and error no matter where you end up going. But if you do find a good one, just remember that service is usually better when you give repeat business.

At an oil MP, you pay the 800 baht up front to the establishment for a 2 hour massage, and then the 1500 baht tip (for the FS "special") to the TG afterward. You and the TG will agree on the "special" and the price (if you are not sure) sometime during the massage (after she will "accidently" massage your private parts and you are hard as a rock).
Just to be clear about how it works in most oil MPs, you usually either see the girl that you want in advance, or you see a picture book that you can choose from. In any case, you can usually ask to see the girl in person before you agree to the massage.
For Soapy MP, you pay about 2000-2500 baht (could be even more for sideliners or models) upfront to the establishment, and then a 500 baht tip (average) afterward when you are leaving (tip can be more or less depending on service). Since FS is included in the soapy price, you go straight to the tub with the TG and she starts "working" on you right away. An actaul "massage" is not likely, unless you ask for it and the TG has prior experience in a real massage parlor.

There is a trend though. My opinion is price and service of MP have held up quite well for the past few years. However, price has gone up rapidly while service has taken a nose dive in the agogo.
