Hi all,
I'll be heading to BKK in October for 6 days only. I have been to BKK before but never experienced any of the things in these forums, anywhere. I'm not sure what I want to do, so looking for some good advice.
I'll be by myself and looking to be more adventurous. Here's what I think I should do (need help with the order and also if you guys think it's a good idea) :
- Stroll around BKK at night to get a feel for the club scene.
- Take a look around Nana, Soi Cowboy etc and go to one of the bars
- Watch a "Live show" (heard of them, never been to one)
- Go for a soapy massage
- Go to Eden
- Go to Pattaya
- Go to one of the islands

stay in bangkok, only 6 days.
nana (rainbow 1, 4, cascade etc.)
cowboy (baccara, shark, long gun etc.)
clubs (Q, bed, glow etc)
afterparty (liquid, climax, narz etc.)
during the day, relax. do a klong tour, visit wat po and wat arun.
check out a beerbar (morning2night, big dogs etc.)

I agree with rtb, if only six days forget the islands, however an overnighter to Pattaya would not be out of the question albeit everything that you have in Pattaya can be found in BKK (except the beach)
Other day activities:
Shopping (MBK, Parnip Plaza)
Massage Oil/TTM (Arriva, Teen)
And if you are so inclined Golf at Pinehurst (just stay away from my caddy, she is mine!!!  )
Evening Activities:
Music (Zanzibar, Rosabieng, Huntsman)
Sports (Gulliver's, Soi 8 Pub, Penalty Zone)

Agree on stay in Bangkok, possible 1-2 night sidetrip to Pattaya. Also, the order of business given by RTB was a very good one: save the afterhours clubs for later, so at that point you're not quite as much of a newbie, haha! Meaning, you'll have a better sense of what's what.
As implied by other responses, skip the "live show" if by that you mean the upstairs sex shows in Patpong. Not worth it, really. If it's a show you're after, check out the lesbian show in Suzie Wong on Cowboy.

I say to hell with the tourist stuff to temples. You need to sleep to re-charge. Think about it... if you hit the beer bars at noon, then take a nap between 4 and 8, then hit the bars, then the after hours clubs, you will get home around 4 or 5 A.M. Then sleep.... ok, I left out the shagging through out the day..... so if you had to cut things out of your schedule I would suggest activities that you can't drink at or can't f***. All other activities are a waste of time.
The guys gave you great advice. I personally would base my activities on how much money I was going to spend. So I would most likely go to a club, gather up 5 or 6 girls for an orgy, with the understanding that maybe 2 will stay long time and do all kinds of kinky shit.
I would go to the bar early, pick out the frash ones and go back to my room for my own private party.
But that is just me. Everyone has a different thing that turns them on. I can only imagine how great it would by to lay in the bath tub and have all of them taking turns pissing all over me, then clean up and get in bed..... OHHHHHHHHHHHHH bring it on !!!!!!

Any hotel (depending on your budget) in the lower Sukhumvit area between Soi 4 - 21, and near the BTS (so that you can use it to get to other places later).

I would not attempt it either unless you are of the triathalon type and don't plan to sleep much. However, it can be done.
A trip to Pattaya should be at a minimum 2 days but you would be able to do your soapy and island from there (maybe one overnight on an island).
That gives you 4 more to catch up on boozing and boom boom (if that is your priority), where ever you want. (Minus airport trip time.)
Places with short time rooms on site will save you alot of time.
The clubbing part can be done with take away to your room at night.
I think you probably see where we are going with this...

As for hotels it depends on your budget.
Furama Xclusive Asoke is a 4+ star hotel across the street (Asoke) from Cowboy.
The Jasmine Suites is a Serviced Apartment just down the street from Cowboy.
The Nana Hotel is a 3 Star across from Nana.
If you need 5 star accommodation then try Landmark or JW Marriott which are both a few blocks from Nana.
A good cheap option for a longer stay is Citidines which are studio serviced apartments. They have locations all over the Sukhumvit area.
One other option I need to mention is the Town Lodge, it is a little out of the way on Soi 18 but the owner is a long time member of the BTF (ringthebells) and it has an on-site bar, Toxic, that also offers ladies for 'take-out'.
If you want the Town Lodge then just PM ringthebells.... for the other hotels I suggest
