Anyone know if there are good deals to be had on high end camera bags like LowePro or Tamrac in LOS?
It's about $300 for a Waterproof LowePro here, i'd be pissed to see the same thing for 300baht in BKK...

I find that most electronics and (genuine) accessories are cheaper in North America, plus the warranty is not recognised here if you do not buy it here.

I'm been using Lowepro products for more than 25 years. Solid products, and the company stands by them. The selection, from what I've seen, is very poor in BKK. Forget about finding any high-end Lowepro products there. I've recently bought several new Lowepro bags and 1 Tenba (just for grins) from a dealer in Canada as they offered the best prices I've found. The dealer's email is photococan@aol.com, and if you go on eBay and do a search for "photococan" you'll find them and a selection of what they sell.

Like mt, I swear by LowePro. Saved my T90 at Angor Wat 8 years ago as, climbing to the top of one of the temples, set my bag down, then watched it cartwheel back down the stairs. NOTHING damaged. I wouldn't mess around; after all, consider the cost of what you are protecting...

Well said, 11bravo. A good bag is worthwhile insurance against such accidents, and a Lowepro will last a lifetime.

i don't have an expensive camera to protect, but then I only take pictures of the girls in my room. 
those are the only ones I look at lateron anyways.
